One jump lasts a second.

Slow it down. 16 frames, one fence. A lot of small moments in between to make it look effortless.

The action gets the attention.

The details tell the story.

Every horse has little things that make them unique—their mane, their expression, their tack, the freckles on their nose, the way they carry themselves around the ring.

These are the moments worth remembering.

The details matter. 🤍

The horse is tucked neatly over the jump while the rider maintains a balanced jumping position, with a blurred background that keeps the focus on the athletic partnership. by @jlsamel715

Never in my wildest horse-loving little girl dreams did I think I’d be able to import a horse someday. Welcome to the family, Taptou VH Beeckhof Z. You are a dream come true.

Endless thank yous to @winmohr, to my family for encouraging this dream from the beginning, and to @bfurbush for putting up with all my lapses of sanity with a smile and to whom I owe so many bicycles - let the adventures begin! taken in Far Hills, New Jersey by @jlsamel715
