Haven’t seen my kinfolk in 10+ years. Life just been flying on by. Seeing my daughter running around enjoying her time around her cousins and Grandma what really highlighted my weekend. Great memories made, more to come 🤞🏾🖤 taken in Gallion, Alabama by @jmar93_

Coming from a small football town (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), I only had ONE GOAL…ONE DREAM. Go D1 & get to the NFL. HS running 4.2-4.3 forty, 40+ vert, off the mat in broad jump… All the athleticism in the world… didn’t take the classroom seriously…

Went Juco route in KS for two years and that’s when s%t got real. First year was mentally tough, I almost left and moved back closer to home. Thank God I didn’t. 2nd year came a different mentality and I turned things around. Played against, ran with, and met a few future Hall of Famers. @cheetah @patrickmahomes @de6rasse & so on. Best two years of my life.

Recruiting process was a ROLLERCOASTER, very exciting but tons of pressure which can be overwhelming. Long story short, I had to make the best out of my two D1 years to get me where I want to be.

Had 2 nfl workouts (saints, panthers) but that didn’t go too far. Tried arena football but wasn’t for me. End up going to Mexico for a few years and DOMINATED. I won a championship first year and 2x All Pro. Totaled 16 INT in 2 years playing safety. Invited to the XFL Combined, crushed it! They asked for my agent, didn’t have one.. Never heard from em again.

After accepting the fact that my football career coming to an end, training & coaching became my passion. My job NOW is to develop kids and help them become better athletes & most importantly a better version of themselves. And make sure some athletes don’t make the same mistakes I made.

Overall, I am forever grateful and bless to be part of this game. Everything may not go as planned so always prepare for the next. taken in Tuscaloosa, Alabama by @jmar93_
