From 8 days of split-boarding in the high elevations of the Terskey Ala-Too Range based out of our cozy Jalpak Tash yurt camp, insulated from the rest of the world, we finished up our week by transporting down to the village. The locals showed off their national sport by gathering to play an intense and aggressive game of Kok Boru (yes, that’s headless goat Polo) with stunning views of the Lake Issyk-Kul valley as a back drop. Fortunately, they now use a fake/proxy goat but the horses and the riders are still fiercely competitive and mind-blowingly skilled and strong. What an experience all around. Winding down an amazing trip to Kyrgyzstan. Every moment of this trip was so unique, genuine and truly once in a lifetime. taken in Бишкек Кыргызстан by @jmauser

Last day on snow with @40tribes was another day to remember. Despite the high avy danger, our guides managed to deliver another big, deep day out there. Already missing that place (and especially Heckler’s Hill) as we start the long winding road back home. taken in Бишкек Кыргызстан by @jmauser
