Porsche Guild of Artists
Collaboration #1

On August 23, 2026 I published an article and made a post speculating about creating a Guild of artists that have a fondness for Porsches. I originally titled it the “Porsche Guild of Artists” . Out of the six artists that I tagged and outlined in the article four responded with thanks and enthusiasm.

One of the artists, John “Swede” Strell of Swede Studios USA, suggested we do a group collaboration post. The idea was to pick a reference photo (see last slide) and have each of the artists interpret it in their style. No rules. There are no rules in art.

The first four GOPA artist in collaboration are:

John “Swede” Strell / Swede Studios USA
Erville / Erville Official
Bob Mochizuki / Luftart
Jim Phillips / Squash Beetle Arts

For my interpretation, I chose to focus on the fragment of the car that I felt best captures its unique personality and character.

My goal was to impart a strong sense of motion, light, and color—to really capture the spirit and energy of this amazing subject piece.

I hope you all enjoy it! I’m really looking forward to seeing everyone’s work and, eventually, sharing our collective effort together.

All the best,

John

Erville

Porsche 964 in the canyon...

Erville illustrates the life of Meowseph and friends in differently distinctively drawn Porsches (and other incredible vintage autos).

Luftart

“I wanted to capture the clean, juicy beauty of Naveed’s tastefully executed 964”

Bob Mochizuki is a talented automotive artist who works in the industry. You can clearly see his Art Center experience in all of his memorable images. He also produces really rad original art Porsche themed t-shirts.

This simple digital illustration captures the green 964 with a vignette of one of the very photogenic buildings that serve as backdrops for the monthly EASY Porsche meet-up that has been meeting on the first Saturday of the month for about 40 years.

EASY Porsche 10/3/26

A quick walkthrough with the new gadget DJI Osmo 360. I’m still figuring it out…

This best monthly meeting of vintage Porsches that has organically grown over 40 years never disappoints .

Contraption + Porsche

Often described by enthusiasts as looking like a vehicle straight out of Mad Max or Back to the Future, this heavily modified 928 was engineered with one goal: to be the quietest Porsche 928 in the world so engineers could isolate and measure tire and road noise for legal compliance testing. Shop Scene #2
9 x 12” ink transfer on cold press watercolor paper 140gm

Based on an image posted by @beelinemotorclub photo credit probably @laneskeltondesign

This is my first stab at ink transfer and there are more imperfections than I would like but again I think the imperfections make it more interesting. I also added a watercolor wash of burnt sienna.

I hope you like it!

Back to the lab!

Flimsy + Porsche

The phrase “flimsy” in relation to the Porsche 910 refers to its extremely thin, lightweight Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) fiberglass bodywork, which was engineered strictly for maximum weight reduction in endurance racing and hillclimbs rather than durability or road use.

Is there a more “tossable” Porsche than a 550?
