A few weeks ago we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Jim @jmp992c4s. When he stopped by the shop to hand deliver this awesome piece of artwork he made of our Irish Green Porsche 912. As he so eloquently said “art makes connection”. This piece gets a prominent place on our lobby walls amongst our growing collection of artwork.🤙

A special piece for Rob.

After seeing his post from the @porsche.museum in Stuttgart about his favorite car there, this 930 Turbo in Oak Green Metallic, I asked my friend, the incredibly talented Jim Phillips @jmp992c4s to recreate it for him.

Jim did an amazing job capturing it, and @levelframes finished it beautifully.

Great to finally put it in Rob’s hands.

A special evening with @dbrunn009 in our @calclosetslosangeles Santa Monica showroom, hosted in partnership with @calhomesmagazine and sponsored by @mycubesafe.

Dan shared the story behind the @bridgehousela, his architectural journey, and a few @dbarchitecture stories from along the way.

As a thank you, I presented him with an original artwork of his red Porsche at the Bridge House.

Many thanks to my friend Jim Phillips (@jmp992c4s) for creating this piece. I knew Dan would appreciate it.

The Porsche 959 was was the first production car to use a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) because it featured the world’s first self-supporting run-flat tires made by Bridgestone. This system was later also used in the Porsche 928 from 1990 to 1994.

The early TPMS used two sensors mounted inside the wheel to monitor tire pressure through switches and a diaphragm. A receiver mounted on the suspension measured changes in electrical current to detect pressure differences. However, the system had some disadvantages: the wheels required large holes for the sensors, and the inductive sensor mounted on the knuckle was vulnerable to damage from road debris.

This is a collaboration between
Jim (@jmp992c4s )
and Patrick (@randomweissachlove ).
Jim provided the drawings, and Patrick did the graphics. Have a nice day.
