14 years in Canada. 🇨🇦

14 years ago, I left Portugal and started a completely new chapter of my life.

I had no idea where this road would take me.

There have been incredible highs, some very low moments, sacrifices, mistakes, crazy nights, beautiful friendships, and people who became family along the way.

I’ve worked in some of the best bars, restaurants and hotels, stood behind countless bars, created drinks, opened projects, most importantly, kept learning.

Hospitality has given me much more than a career. It has given me stories, connections, opportunities and a version of myself I probably wouldn’t have discovered anywhere else.

Canada challenged me. It pushed me. Sometimes it broke me a little. But it also helped build me.

When I look back at the person who arrived 14 years ago, I’m proud of how far he’s come.

14 years. A lot of life lived. A lot still to come.

Thank you, Canada. 🇨🇦❤️

Cheers to the journey. 🥃 by @jnmachado
