Calling all sweethearts to the front row! Lando would love to meet you!

Our dear boy was so scared leaving CACC he had to be rolled out. He has grown out of his scaredy cat pancake phase and it is such a joy to watch him stand up as a confident young man.

Landerson Cooper still has the serious grumpy cat face, but his glow up is grinning and we are more than happy to smile back at him.

Melon and Violetta are looking for a home with an older confident dog to teach them the ropes.

Violetta is a people person. She wants to greet everyone with an enthusiasm that some could consider overboard. She is a calmer version of her joyous self when she has a dog by her side.

Melon is a country boy who wants to run into your heart and all over your field. He is a shy young man that takes his time getting to know you before he decides to dive into a relationship heart first.

Meet Allie.

This 3-ish-year-old, 70 lb American Bulldog “piggy” completely stole my heart today. ❤️

She got a break from boarding and spent the afternoon with me. We picked up my girls from camp, grabbed ice cream, went for a walk, and cuddled… a LOT.

She is one of the biggest people lovers I’ve ever met.

Watching her with my girls melted me. She kept an eye on them the whole time, making sure they didn’t wander too far. Such sweet nanny dog energy.

She walked beautifully on leash, handled every new situation with ease, and was so affectionate. She even showed me a side I wasn’t expecting around another dog—calm, respectful, and always checking in with me. I think she’d do great with a mellow dog after a slow introduction or as the center of someone’s world.

Because she’s a strong 70 lbs, I think she’d be best with slightly older kids—but she has the sweetest heart.
The hardest part of today was bringing her back to boarding. We wanted to take her home as much as she wanted to go with us.

Dogs like Allie slowly lose their spark sitting in a kennel. She deserves a couch, a family, and someone to love with that giant heart of hers. She will blossom in the right place.

Look at the difference a foster saying yes makes!

Bellingham left Chicago Animal Care and Control less than 24 hours ago. As soon as he figured out he was safe and free to run around his whole demeanor changed. Swipe to see the cutest little smile.

Russell- Did someone say hairy pitbull?? This 6 year old happy boy has already served as a nanny and service dog since joining MCP rescue. His cool competence just makes you want to be always right by his side, which is his favorite place to be as well! by @jnoted
