2025 significantly tested our resolve.

As we step into 2026, this is your opportunity to turn intention into action.

We often, by habit, at the start of a new calendar year make New Year's resolutions.

Maybe you want to be a part of something greater than yourself; to serve and be of service. Maybe you want to use your professional civilian skillsets in a new wa to make a more tangible contribution to Jamaica’s national security.

If you are resolved to make this difference in 2026, this is your chance, answer the call, become a citizen-soldier and join us in the Jamaica National Reserve.

Away is a place” — and we made sure it wasn’t our beautiful coastline! 🌊

On Saturday, 19 September 2026 , the teams from JPS and JNR partnered up to roll up our sleeves and clear out solid waste, giving our marine environment some well-deserved relief.

From plastic bottles to styrofoam, every pound of trash collected is a step toward preventing marine pollution and protecting our island's natural resources.

We stood alongside thousands of Jamaican volunteers to prove that trash doesn't just vanish—it takes real community action to keep our coastlines pristine.

CHARTING THE COURSE, CONQUERING THE TERRAIN

The competition is heating up in the Force Orienteering Competition 2026.

Following yesterday’s second and third phases of the competition, the Support Brigade are the early leaders with 81 points.

The other positions are as follows:

2️⃣Caribbean Military Academy - 77.5 points

3️⃣The Jamaica Regiment - 76 points.

4️⃣The Maritime Air and Cyber Command - 52 points

5️⃣ Jamaica National Reserve - 35.5 points.

Land navigation is a core military discipline that is an essential part of military training and ethos that must be mastered by our servicemembers.

Orienteering is a distinct form of navigation that requires skills using maps, compasses, and other navigating devices, to effectively move over unfamiliar terrain using grid coordinates.

The final phase of the competition commences next week.

Here are the highlights of yesterday’s competition.
