My Bealtaine Group of vessels will be shown at the Ulster Museum with Craft NI Gallery for the 145th Royal Ulster Academy Annual Exhibition.

I spent many weekends in those galleries as a teenager, studying the paintings and discovering my love of art — so it’s incredibly special to have my work included in the same space all these years later.

I’m delighted to have been invited by the National Gallery to host a weaving workshop this October, coinciding with the opening of their beautiful new exhibition, Renoir and Love. The workshop takes place on Wednesday 21 October 2026, from 11am to 1pm.

We’ll be weaving with nature, using natural yarns and foraged materials to create delicate woven artworks that celebrate our connection to the landscape. Together we’ll explore colour, texture and mindful making, creating pieces that frame and honour treasured leaves and dried flowers.

During my time at @xeniacreativeretreat I found inspiration in the smallest details: textures, forms, colours, and fleeting moments of seasonal change. These quiet discoveries have become woven into my new work.

I’m absolutely delighted to have one of my artworks included in A Seat at the Table, a beautiful installation by @aevencollective for @decorex_international that brings together the work of so many talented makers. There’s something really joyful about seeing all these different voices and materials gathered around one table.

After weeks of being tucked away in the studio, it’s always a bit of a thrill to spot a piece out in the wild, and I can’t wait to visit tomorrow to see it in person. I’m also very much looking forward to exploring the rest of Decorex and admiring the incredible work of all the other exhibitors.

Rooted in a transition from flat-woven textiles to volumetric form, @joannelambstudio applies rigorous academic lineage from the Royal College of Art to contemporary basketry.

Her process relies on manual manipulation of tatami paper yarn and natural fibres, constructing small-scale vessels where intuition governs tension and repetition. By engaging with Celtic cross-quarter festivals and natural cycles, her tactile forms act as physical markers of time and material memory, balancing structural discipline with fluid spatial cadence.

The Hung Yuen Zian Prize exhibition will take place in Shanghai from November 19 to 23.

This time last year I was immersed in the beautiful Hampshire countryside @xeniacreativeretreat After a difficult period, time spent closely connected to nature was deeply healing and has become the foundation of the new body of work I am creating for Miami.

As we welcome the Harvest Moon and the return of autumn, the circular forms within these new works reflect the many cycles that shape both nature and ourselves: the moon, the seasons, growth and decay, renewal and return.

I can’t wait to share this new body of work with you soon.

I’ve been unusually quiet on here recently, but for good reason...

I’ve been head down in the studio making new work for Interwoven: Basketry as Expanded Practice, curated by @studio_herron and presented by @mindysolomongallery in Miami this November ✨ and during Miami Design Week in December.

I’m creating a new collection of larger and deeply personal artworks, and honestly, I’m bursting to share them. But not quite yet!

In the meantime, here are a few wee sketches offering a sneak peek at what’s been keeping me so busy.

We still have a few tickets left for "Material Conversations – Threads, Marks and Memories" with @selvedgemagazine at @cockpitstudios on 5–6 September, and we cannot wait to welcome you in.

Collaborating with @kimsutherlandstudio and @hannahrefaat has been such a joy. We have been experimenting, pressing, printing and building new artworks together, letting nature lead the way. Two new artworks have travelled to @watersidearts_ for What is Precious? with @design_nationuk 🍁

‘Beart,’ named for the old Irish word for a bundle of rushes, gathers hand woven paper yarn, soft wool and dried sycamore stems. These materials rest together like a small offering shaped by patience and touch, echoing older gestures of binding natural elements for shelter, ritual and the turning of seasons. Paper yarn, warm wool and sycamore hold a tender balance of delicacy and strength, inviting slow looking and revealing how simple gathered materials can carry memory and the quiet presence of the landscape.

Another artwork stands beautifully framed in London Plane by Will James @thisisknotdesign its edges revealing a soft detail of his craftsmanship.
