I’m unbelievably excited to announce a special exhibition I have been planning for over a year in collaboration with @mindysolomongallery !!

Interwoven: Basketry as Expanded Practice will open November 29, 2026 to kick off Miami Art week! Featuring the brilliant works of 20 artists from around the globe expanding the language of basketry.

If you are travelling to Miami for the fairs, please come by Mindy Solomon Gallery to see our exhibition!

Lovely to have a selection of my coiled vessels on display @morleygallery which I visited last night 🌙✨ The basketry curation is beautifully done, and it is such a joy to be in good company with my talented classmates @fernandacarrilloc and @zantextiles 🧺💛

If you love basketry, I highly recommend visiting. There are so many beautiful examples on show, especially from @kimwinter_artist the wonderful basketry tutor @textilesatmorley 🌿 And while you are there, take a look at the range of courses starting this September — you will have a lot of fun exploring new skills and materials 🎨

The exhibition is open daily from 12 to 5pm at Morley Gallery, 1 to 4 July 📅

I’m so excited to be part of @selvedgemagazine London Textile Month, co‑hosting a vibrant, hands‑on weekend workshop with @kimsutherlandstudio and @hannahrefaat at @cockpitstudios

Across two immersive days, we’ll dive into embossing, weaving and hand embroidery, blending our individual making styles to help you create rich, layered textile pieces. Expect plenty of experimentation, playful sample‑making and time to develop a finished artwork to take home. You’ll also get a behind‑the‑scenes tour of our studio spaces — a chance to see where our ideas begin and the materials we love to work with.

WORKSHOP: 3D Paper Weaving with artist Joanne Lamb ✨️🪡🌿

Come and create a open weave basket using paper with us at Boston Manor House. Intertwine paper yarns to create a open weave vessel using the basketry technique of random weaving with sumac stitch. Using a mould, you’ll create your own decorative woven vessel as you discover the simplicity and joy of creating your own free-standing form.

This workshop is for ages 16+.

Interwoven: Basketry as expanded practice an exhibition curated by moi, @mindysolomongallery later this year that will include work by each of these incredible artists tagged above- a little sampling posted here of their past works (not the works in our November show). I am beyond excited to have this opportunity to work with such an incredible group of artists, each pushing the boundaries of basket weaving beyond form and function-transforming inherited techniques into frameworks for new and untold stories. I’ll be sharing more in bits and pieces leading up to to this exciting presentation! Championing their work along the way.

New year, new exhibition ✨

Samhain: The Sacred Dark brings together a collection of delicate, sculptural vessels created by Irish maker Joanne Lamb. Inspired by Samhain, the Celtic festival marking endings and new beginnings, her works reflect cycles of change, inviting contemplation and a deeper connection to the natural world. Using woven textiles, basketry techniques, and botanical dyes, she translates the quiet beauty of the seasons into tactile forms.
