Thank you to @leatherdaddygerry @lifesgood101 @theboyingear and my sash son @bhanuka and of course, @thelairdmelbourne for Tom’s Hide Out last Saturday! Just the night I needed! After months of deep reflection and slowing down, this night was the first time I felt like my old self again, just new and improved. I’ve been on a very personal journey reflecting on the infinite reward of competing at IML and implementing the spiritual evolution it gave me. I have gratitude for many things in my life, but to sit with myself and re-wire my soul to be more gentle and kind to myself was confronting but I know I am on a path of something good. Time to sit with my heart and let it whisper to me what it feels like doing next….until then, I will continue to support the community as much as I can carrying the love of my siblings and the wisdom that has come from the past few months. Im so sorry if I didn’t make it to your event, share your post, didn’t message you on your birthday or reply back to your message. It’s been a really tough time but I know the benefit of realisation takes sacrifice. Us Aries tend to go silent when we are evolving and I would never mean to not be there for someone else that needed me, but I had to learn to show myself and my spirit the same courtesy, which wasn’t easy, but I stuck to it, and now with each passing day I’ve come back to a version of myself I never thought I’d actually grow up to be. So I will continue to slowly collect the ingredients I need to make the very most of this opportunity called life that I am so very blessed to have in the first place. Life is a mystery and everyone must stand alone, but leather called my name, and I found my home 💗 I love my community with all my heart and will forever be grateful to every person apart of it that helped and support my dreams come true. by @jockbox

On August 20th, six years ago, the world lost a bright light and I remember that day so well.
Chi Chi Devayne, my favourite drag queen and friend was finally free of their suffering. I was taking care of my dad at the time. He was in palliative care with cancer for 5 months and passed away a month later.
That morning, six years ago I spoke to him about Chi Chi. What they meant to me, the friendship we had over instagram and how sad I was. He listened and comforted me. I was heart broken. I went for a big walk as a grey blanketed sky hung above my moments of grief and tears.
I went and sat down on a park bench to collect myself. I decided to talk to Chi Chi. I sat there just crying. I forced all the love in my heart out and up to the sky, and in that moment, suddenly a little circle formed in the sky and a ray of sunshine appeared, descended all the way down from that grey sky onto my face. I looked up and saw this little circle of light way above me. I knew it was Chi Chi. I smiled.I said thank you for all she’d shared with this world, and for always inspiring me and reminding me what I could become and who I could be.
Let us never forget Chi Chi’s talent and heart and let it remind us to make the absolute most of this gift called life we are honoured to have.
I will always miss you and love you Zavion 🥹💖🫂😘
One day I will meet you up in heaven and we will dance and cook Turkey necks.
Rest in all your power, and I promise to always carry that power in my own heart.

Last month saw the return of Follow The Leatherman and it’s good to be back! Jay and Sir Z are back again, next week AUGUST 20th!!!!
Follow the Leatherman is a relaxed meet-up hosted by Laird Leathermen Jay and Sir Z for anyone who’s curious about leather, kink, or simply wants to meet some genuinely good company before heading to Spit & Polish.
From 7:30pm, every third Thursday of the month, at Stingos Hotel, a historical and long standing supporter of the leather and LGBTQI+ communities.
No pressure, No gatekeepers. No expectation that you’ll know what a Sam Browne is or own five pairs of boots.
We’ll chat, answer questions, introduce you to a few friendly faces, and when everyone’s ready, we’ll wander over to The Laird together.
Who knows? You might discover your next favourite Thursday night.
If you have some leather gear, bring them with you. If not, that’s perfectly fine too. A smile is an acceptable dress code.
