POSTS STORIES REELS
Even on vacation the work is never done. I had to feed my soul in different ways today. I try to always carry my magical black bag of tools, and for those that have been blessed enough to have to retrieve it for me, you're welcome, because it weighs a couple pounds. If my house was on fire, and I had 30 seconds I would grab it, and my signed deployment flags (maybe one day I'll share that story). Anyway, the AC condensate line rerouted and upgraded through a pump. Then it was breakfast for dinner! I've always tried to fix things, and people. Some say it's me trying to balance my soul's ledger, others believe it's because I didn't really have anyone when I needed help! I'd say, it's because I've lived in survivor mode, and thrived! I've been to the dark places, alone, in pain, and in isolation so many times it charged me rent. I became at home there! Home isn't just where I hang my hat, it's wherever I become comfortable! I can feel at home in a place or with a person, but I can shut that out just as fast! This platform to me is more than just a place to do ridiculous dances, and show how ignorant society has become! I'm tired of seeing "men" wearing purses, and people being canceled for speaking common sense! Life is about mindset! If you want to know more, ask, but I'm going to be me either way! #mindset #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #mensmentalhealth #PTSD #hvac #construction #fix #usa #positivity #courage by @joe.studio37llc
Congratulations to my buddies Pepper and Sancho, who finally gave me a worthy reason to return to the Legion and VFW in Tampa! Now headed back to Dunnellon with Nick for some Bourbon and brother time! #wedding #americanlegionriders #family #mindest #brotherhood #marines #PTSD by @joe.studio37llc
It's going to be another amazing day, no work, just me and some of my best friends on this planet in the same geographical area! I sometimes think of how far I've come. That was just a glimpse into the past 2 weeks. Imagine the life I lived that got me here! I've been a pretty private person with most things in my life, and to know a few of the stories, you'd probably want to say you know me, but you'd be wrong. I know what I am, and oftentimes it scares me, but that answer will always be a United States MARINE! I'm still finding out who I am, and it's one of the reasons, I never quit putting one foot in front of the other. In nearly 49 years few have ever seen a tear in my eye, and fewer have ever heard the reasons why. Long after the uniform, or the traumas for some, the sounds of war still echo in your mind, it's often hard to put words like perseverance, determination, or drive behind the losses you replay. They become excuses and explanations for your actions. You get so caught up in what the world says you are supposed to do, that you forget what you did or can do! There is no shame in hurting, only in quitting! #morningvibes #morningmotivation #morning #motivation #military #militarylife #mindset #motivational #motivationdaily #mensmentalhealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #mentalwellness #NeverGiveUp #neverforget #fyp #fypシ #PTSD #usa #hearttouching #mindsetmatters by @joe.studio37llc
Day 16 of the Vietnam veterans kitchen renovatiin collaboration with Jesse Woolard. The granite is in, the undermount sink, faucet, garbage disposal, Dishwasher, and sink drain is in. Momma can use her kitchen again. It may have been 2 days late, but these guys were certainly worth every second. Sometimes patience pays off. Now, my furry boys and I are heading to a wedding in Florida for a few days, I'll be back to finish this project next Friday! #motivation #collaboration #studio37llc #military #mindset #community #communitysupport #mentalhealth #mensmentalhealth #usa #fyp #fypシ゚viralシ by @joe.studio37llc
Thinking of how far I've come with the support of my little furry kids, in a few short years they've taught me more about acceptance, loyalty, forgiveness, peace, patience, and humility than years of system failures. Worthless towel twisting group therapy, the drama of supposed legacy veteran service organizations (VFW,CVMA, Legion), "family", or relationships with those that can use words. As I head back down towards Tampa today, after I ensure that the granite is actually in place, I decided to actually acknowledge the silent therapists. They allow me to do what I do, it wouldn't be possible if those like my sister Laura M. Seaver, Jesse Woolard, Nick Fetzer, and other fellow Disabled Veterans didn't take the time and effort to check on me, encourage me, and contribute to my pack. They may only be in my life a short while, and I've already accepted that, but to them I'm their world, and they make mine better. #mindset #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #mensmentalhealth #PTSD #support #HealthyRelationships #courage #consistency #military #hearttouching #dogs #studio37llc #morningvibes #morning #morningmotivation by @joe.studio37llc
Day 15 of this kitchen renovation collaboration with Jesse Woolard for a Vietnam veteran. Granite guy is keeping me waiting like we're dating, but when you are one of the few people that can granite countertops from order to install in 2 weeks, I will remain polite! Like I tell my guys, people wait for me, I don't like to wait for people, but he really is worth waiting for! Just breathe and go with the flow, the universe knows what it's doing! #usa #fyp #construction #renovation #remodeling #Military #mindset #patience #granite #worthit by @joe.studio37llc
Day 14 of this Vietnam veterans kitchen renovation collaboration. Granite was delayed so I'm just knocking out some painting and punch list items. Good thing I'm all about chess not checkers, in life you need to know how to adapt, and if necessary to change the game. I've received amazing grace from the homeowners who have known of my time constraints on this project because of the wedding I am attending of my good buddies Tom and Chrissy in florida, and have enough rapport by action, not words that they matter to me. If it's done tomorrow that will be the universe shining on this project, if I have to return in a few days after my trip for just a few hours, that's also OK. It's all about mindset, this 2 week project would take on average 6-12 weeks from most contractors and at a much higher cost. This for me is about the cause, not the applause! Skill, drive, and determination is how our forefathers created this country and did so many other amazing things. We as a society have lost that, and in my opinion, it's what I'm determined to bring back! A can do attitude. Our veterans organizations are failing to do their jobs, our schools are refusing to teach about conquest, determination, and winning. I'm all about being me, unapologetically, with honor, loyalty, respect, and determination. About honoring our heroes that have given so much often in silence, and teaching the next generation of tradesmen to be independent in the process! #mentalhealth #mentality #mensmentalhealth #teacher #motivation #veterans #renovation #fyp #usa #military #construction #mindset by @joe.studio37llc
Lucky number 13 is in the bag for this Vietnam Veterans kitchen renovation collaboration with Jesse Woolard. Floor is cleaned and covered, trim is up, pipe has been repaired, sealed, taped, and first coat mudded. Put a little more love into the rail, got the refrigerator moved, back into the kitchen (supper fun), I prepped things for the granite guys tomorrow. There is still so much coming up in my near future, my buddies wedding, other projects, my book launch, GAL duties, tattoos to finish, I'll be a guest artist at my buddy and mentors shop in West Virginia for a few months and so much more. But it felt good to just sit on that porch with street tacos, and my never empty cup of coffee, looking out at the giant Bamboo out back. Life is what you make of it! You can wait to be saved, or save yourself, and help the next person! If you want to know how, ask me, or just like and follow! #communitysupport #uncommon #saveyourself #spiritualawakening #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mensmentalhealth #fypシ #fyp #fypシ゚viralシ #construction #tradesman #military #veterans #mindset #mindsetmatters #changetheworld by @joe.studio37llc
Day 11 of this Vietnam Veterans kitchen renovation collaboration with Jesse Woolard. My young apprentice Ethan Woolard went home for some much needed R&R but not after doing a couple freebies for the 27 year Air force Veteran and his wife of 39 years. Like doing his first solo Commode change out, and building them some barstools for the breakfast bar. Lots of satisfaction so far, and still more to come as I work on the punch list leading to the granite countertops being installed on the 29th (fingers crossed)! It's been a long road, I've been collaborating on these projects since 2019, my first project being for VFW 424 in Tampa Florida. It began with my Covid check, and a donation from the American Legion post 111. I'll actually be heading that way for a wedding November 1st. I guess it's true, no rest for the wicked! Just kidding, I'm finding ways to get out of Washington NC, and all the oppression I feel there! It's ok, life has prepared me to be a Karmatic tool, good or bad, we often get what we deserve! #mentalhealth #karma #military #veterans #studio37llc #mensmentalhealth #motivation #tradesman #PTSD #usa #fyp by @joe.studio37llc
Day 8 of this Vietnam veterans remodeling collaboration in Greensboro NC. Finish work always feels like walking downhill. Primer is up, Floor is prepped, lights are back in and electric for the island is in place. I decided to cook dinner for the crew since the day went smoothly. #usa #fyp #renovationproject #veteran #fyp by @joe.studio37llc
Day 7 of this Vietnam veterans renovation collaboration with Jesse Woolard. I'm so appreciative of Ethan Woolard and all he does and has learned over this project. He definitely has a life ahead of him in the trades and it will be lucrative. By far the best apprentice I've ever worked with. Looks like we'll be ready to paint inside tomorrow, then LVP flooring, cabinets, molding, and wrapping this thing up. Quote of the day after I handed over the sander to the young back "I know about 20 percent how you feel"! Truth is I wouldn't be doing anything like this anymore without Christopher Wyatt, Ethan, Antonio, Ladon, and of course Jesse. 😂 by @joe.studio37llc
Day 6 of the veterans remodeling collaboration with Jesse Woolard, the sink light is in, scraped and mudded the washer closet, cabinets and doors have their first coat of paint, and I'm most of the way to the level 5 finish on the ceiling. My old body feels every bit of this project but we keep driving forward. Funny how many haters that couldn't caulk a shower have comments about this project that very few professional crews could pull off. I bet their mommies still cut up their food for them. 1 master tradesman, an apprentice, and a couple helpers are killing every trade in a 14x20 total kitchen remodel in about 10 days. But let's be real they don't raise an abundance of real men any more. Let them talk, I get to live freely in their heads! 😂 #remodeling #renovation #construction #mensmentalhealth #MensHealthMatters #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #PTSD #warriors #tradesman #usa #fypシ #fyp #fypシ゚viralシ by @joe.studio37llc
