Greenland Expeditions 2026 🇬🇱 After the boldest and most exciting season ever in 2025, we’re ready for 2026! Even more so now than ever before as an act of defiance! 🍊Swipe through for some huge Greenland vistas and landscapes the likes of which you’ve never seen!

This year, I am leading expeditions from Svalbard to Greenland into the world’s largest National Park with @h0rdur , a very special Greenland SOLAR ECLIPSE Expedition and more Greenland trips over between August and September. All of this on the largest wooden tall ship in Europe still sailing, and you can join me!

This isn’t about adventure for the sake of adventure.
It’s about stepping into an environment where clarity and our highest purpose is within our reach. Where who you are, and how you lead yourself.

I’m 37 today 🎂 Best year ever? Quite possibly. Recently, I completed the 2025 sailing season with The Great Expedition Company. 7 expeditions taking us sailing from Svalbard, Greenland, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. 70 amazing people and an infinite number of new memories. Here is a (small) collection of moments from this most epic of seasons. Plotting course with the captain, pulling ropes, dancing, reciting poetry, hugs all around, epic fits in bright colours, stunning vistas, extended relaxation sessions in the expedition chair and tearing into the 40kg parmesan cheese 🧀🍷

We truly have seen and done incredible things: Majestic wildlife, towering icebergs and the great northern latitudes all set within the context of a truly great expedition sailing vessel: S/V Linden.

To everyone that trusted me to take them to Arctic, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You know who you are, and I will cherish our time together forever.

Shall we do it all again? ABSOLUTELY YES! Bring on 2026 and let the good times roll. ⚓️🧊🌊🐻‍❄️🐋🐦🇬🇱

My People: 2017-2024. My people mean the ABSOLUTE WORLD to me. My truest passion (can’t believe I found it!) is assembling amazing groups of humans in some far flung, immensely remote corner of the world, and then proceeding to have the time of our lives.

Can you tell we are living our best lives? The key achievement, always, is remembering what’s like to feel like a child: sheer unbridled amazement, wonder and giddy with laughter like nobody’s looking or cares.

i asked joe to plan our afternoon together. anything he wanted to show me in his city for our brief and unexpected overlap of time in the same place.
he mapped out THE finest expedited tour of menswear in london. we walked up and down century old marbled arcades, in and out of silk and tweed shops, and spent a long time debating the purchase of some velvet embroidered loafers while standing in front of a window full of vintage rolexes.

we drank too many beers on the sidewalk outside a pub in the blistering summer heat in part of the city where i couldn’t reasonably walk into a single store without overdrawing my bank account.
a lady told me she made custom glasses and gave me her business card (i lost it). she said that my friend and i had an energy she could feel- that she knew we loved life and were going after it, whatever it was. i don’t remember anything else we talked about, but she kissed me goodbye when i closed my tab and we left her on the sidewalk where we started.

joe said he was in the market for some new cushions, so we ripped around a 6-story department store on a very specific homegoods mission for the next half hour. the 132-step hand forged timber and brass spiral staircase was unveiled by the king of england himself (charles iii). it served us well as the transport between floors of sterling silver tea sets and ladies handbags.
we didn’t find any cushions :(
we did find discounted chocolates :), pork pies, and this hat i made him try on before we rushed across town to dinner and pub #2.

we sat on the tiniest of chairs, packed into a room of people who were there to watch the world cup on a single wall mounted tv with muffled sound. we shared a meal and a few more drinks while we reminisced on some of our recent travels. my family was already asleep back at our airbnb and i knew i should be doing the same.
i called a cab and we ended our night hugging the biggest hug. i left joe to figure out his own way home. until next time.

on the ride back i realized the lady from pub #1 was right.

The word of an ancient Stoic. Stoicism and the seas seem to go hand in hand. Why is that? Sailing, being poetry in motion, lends itself to all manner of philosophies.

It seems to be able to distill what really matters, and it seems to be able to deliver the answer: that being, not a whole lot.

Sometimes we need to go back to the earth in order to be able to return and face things back home.

Eyes in the Snow 👀❄️

As a late winter snow falls in Iceland whilst I sail in Norway where it is considerably warmer, I think of all the wonderful creatures that are perfectly happy living in the snow as their home.

Svalbard 2025 2/7: There are places that don’t feel like they belong to this world. Svalbard is one of them. It didn’t feel real out there.

12 days, 12 strangers, 1 tall ship and generous amounts of Arctic pixie dust and my oh my oh my, how we lived and laughed and breathed our best lives!

Here, we have a selection of shots for my 2nd Svalbard expedition last year, with a special nod going to the “Swiss Contingent” which sounds exactly like the title of a Wes Anderson film. Oh, how we lived and laughed!

Epic nature moments around every corner, like the ice waterfall! 🤯❄️ Light that never quite leaves. Landscapes that make you feel small in the best possible way. Every day, there is something to inspire wonder.
