POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Break Clause is out today! Really looking forward to giving this a watch and remembering a lovely shoot with @ellisaudio @benmcer & @ethanharlen_sound doing all the heavy lifting for me.

Been really nice reading and seeing all the positive reviews so far. Go give it a watch and let me know what you think! by @joe_sound

It’s been a while since I did a post for the sound nerds out there 🤓

Lovely little upgrade to the monitor which had been annoying me for a while. It wasn’t mounted right and got in the way of the desk quite a lot. So I’ve gone bigger with the 10” monitor. Dual input with Picture in Picture and split screen. The mount the monitor came with allows me to move it out the way of the desk and attach it to the linear rail I have installed so it can move forwards and backwards.

I think it makes my cart even more versatile as I was having to bring another monitor with me for the 2nd camera days.

So we wrapped on Break Clause at the weekend, the end of my first job since my spinal cord injury — and honestly, I’m feeling every emotion possible. Gratitude, pride, relief, and so much love.

This experience has meant more to me than words can express. Getting back into the workplace after my injury was something I once wasn’t sure I’d ever do, and being given this opportunity reminded me how much strength and support can change everything.

To my incredible team @ellisaudio @benmcer @ethanharlen_sound — thank you for your patience, your encouragement, your laughs, and your belief in me. You guys smashed it! Not forgetting @drew_illing & @james.hayward3 for joining us.

And to my amazing partner @kirsty.wise — thank you for standing by me through every high and low, for believing in me when I doubted myself, and for being my constant source of strength. I truly couldn’t have done this without you.

Here’s to new beginnings, growth, and never underestimating what we can do with the right people beside us. 💜 by @joe_sound

What a difference a year makes.

At this point last year I’d just about managed to do a step for the first time and was still razzing around in a wheelchair.

Coming home for the first time and having some kind of Stockholm syndrome because I just wanted to get back into hospital where I felt safe.

I’m in a lot better place now thanks to lots of hard work but a lot of support from family friends.

I just want to say a massive thanks to everyone who donated money after my accident, especially @ryansound & @viennamac for setting it up. It helped me get the physio I needed to be where I am now. I would not be where I am now without it.

Love you all, looking forward to 2025

After some Irish luck 🍀

It’s hard to put into words how I feel sometimes. I often feel like I’m watching a film through my own eyes and can’t quite believe it’s real when my brain clicks back in.

Going through this past year is probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. The physical battle has been tough but nothing on the emotional.

This past week though I’ve felt inspired, seeing other people come from where I’ve been. Being amongst family and friends and having my no.1 fan @kirsty.wise by my side. taken in Giant's Ring by @joe_sound

Little lockdown project. Battery charging box. Stuck a powercon connector on the power extension for side access. Stuck a shelf in and arranged battery chargers accordingly. #batterybox #soundrecordist #nsdt #swit by @joe_sound
