I hesitated on my inclination to share this. I’m not one for vain photos, not into thirst traps or what might be seen as an effort for such. I don’t try to get physical attention.

But in the last 2 years I’ve rediscovered the value of health and fitness. My children are my everything, the only thing competing in my heart with my love of art & creating. I feel in my BODY the love of family. And as I created habits which took that vigor from me, it changed. I hurt.

An awakening motivated to be the best human I can be while on this planet. For them. For us all. And that means running, jumping, tossing them in the air until I am dead. And to be a snapshot of health and habits with which to aspire.

I’m far from that, but farther from the darker place, where I was out of breath after 30 seconds of play with a toddler.

It is not easy, but I want it to be admirable in our society to be healthy, caring, loving, and giving. It should be “cool” to be a fit dad. Let’s redefine DAD BOD for our collective health and support. Sanity. Longevity. Community. We can be our best.

I feel good lately. At 45 I have the body and mind I want. And I will continue to improve. There is no finished piece, state, or goal— the goal is constant improvement with integrity.

Truth. Kindness. My kids hear me say it every day. And today I am honest and kind. And I feel good.

Ok. Back to sharing art. #Health #love #fitness #kindness by @joebluhm

I’m still over here drawing, writing, creating, collaborating, working. I’m madly in love with my kids and my team, making this film.

I’ll be finishing more writing in the coming months and year, getting ready to publish. Lots of new stories and beautiful worlds.

The Great Dinosaur Sleepover is an adorable story of a dino-loving child who has plans for the perfect dino sleepover birthday party. Everything is perfectly planned until all his friends come down with the flu and the party is postponed. A sad story turns joyful when Jake hears a loud rumbling. In his living room are a herd of dinosaurs who create a chaotic yet memorable night for Jake and his sick friends. The dinosaurs are all having fun but cautious not to wake T-Rex…that isn’t at all as scary as they assume it will be! The illustrations are amazing, depicting the various dinosaurs working to turn disappointment into an adventure.
Kenny G, Jack and Myles, there will be disappointments in life but with a little imagination, maybe the disappointments will turn into great adventures and other experiences. Remember that disappointment is the gap between expectation and reality!❤️
