I’ve enjoyed (since 1988) a wonderful career as a makeup artist (also did hair for the first 2 decades but retired from that a long time ago!)- was feeling a little nostalgic and retrospective so here’s a small compilation of some oldies but goodies from my portfolio- all makeup by yours truly, of course! Spent the last 14 years working (gratefully) full-time with Rachael Ray on all her various tv shows and projects but now, sadly, that is mostly done so I am looking forward to what will be coming next! Today I went to PetSmart to look for some things for Gladys and, as a bonus, I got to watch Jennifer Aniston film a scene (over and over) for season 4 of one of my favorite tv shows, Apple TV’s “The Morning Show”! Can’t wait to see what plot-line this scene is for!! Gladys met Mr. Monopoly yesterday at Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall! The life-sized Monopoly pop-up is presented by Visit Atlantic City and October 4th is the last day to check it out! The free experience celebrates the destination that inspired the iconic street names on the classic Monopoly board.

@metmuseum has one of the hottest shows of the season opening on October 4th : Krasner and Pollock: Past Continuous Lee Krasner (1908–1984) and Jackson Pollock (1912–1956) met as emerging artists in New York in the winter of 1941. They married in 1945 and moved to Springs, Long Island, where they remained entwined personally, artistically, and professionally until Pollock’s untimely death. While Pollock’s reputation historically eclipsed Krasner’s, today, both artists’ practices are rightly recognized as central to the innovations of art from the mid-20th century onwards. This exhibition continues and amplifies this reevaluation, on their own terms and in dynamic relation to each other.
