The things we battle in silence often take over everyday life without anyone realizing it 💔

From day one, Altered Judgement has always had mental health woven into its DNA. Sitting around these mics isn’t just about the laughs—it often turns into therapy for us and our guests, creating a space where we can drop our guard and talk about the real stuff.

Nicole from @allyoukneadbreadandco joined us for the Season 3 premiere and opened up about the hidden reality of living with an eating disorder, avoiding everyday social situations, and the cathartic power of putting that journey into words in her book, “Sun and Moon.”

If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by things other people take for granted, know that you’re never alone in that fight. Be sure to check out Nicole’s book “Sun and Moon” for an unfiltered look into navigating disordered eating and finding peace.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Bear 747 has reached cruising altitude and is currently flying into the fat bear week of champions!

We were supposed to have a classy Season 3 premiere with @allyoukneadbreadandco and @rustandemberink , but Katmai National Park power rankings completely derailed the studio.

🎙️ Catch Episode 30 this Friday on Spotify and YouTube. Links in bio.

Walking into a traditional tattoo shop has its own charm, but it can definitely feel like a trial by fire for some 😅 We love and respect the classic street shops, but finding that welcoming middle ground is a whole different vibe.

Ali from @rustandemberink and Nicole from @allyoukneadbreadandco joined us in the studio to talk shop culture, the old-school vibe, and why Ali built a space where anyone can walk in, feel completely comfortable, and leave with bold work.

Be honest: what was your very first tattoo experience like? Easygoing or wild? Drop it below 👇

SEASON 3 IS HERE AND WE ARE NOT PLAYING AROUND! 🚨🎙️

Episode 30: “Tats All We Kneaded” is dropping this Friday, 10/16! We’ve got fresh studio upgrades, a legendary double-header, and our chaotic energy is officially in peak season. 🍂🔥

First up, the return of Nicole from All You Knead Bread & Co (@allyoukneadbreadandco )! 🍞 We dive into her creative journey—from competitive Olympic weightlifting dreams to self-publishing her poetry collection, “Sun & Moon,” and how staying grounded led to building her craft sourdough business.

Then, we put on our scientist hats to break bread (literally!) in our new “Breaking Bread” segment. We taste-test her experimental Halloween sourdough loaves (candy corn in bread, anyone?) and pair them with some questionable Nabisco Oreo experiments. Yes, there are chicken-and-waffle cookie regrets. 💀🍪

THEN, we keep the studio buzzing—literally—because Ali from Rust & Ember Ink (@rustandemberink ) joins us for an Altered Judgement first: a LIVE, IN-STUDIO TATTOO SESSION! 🖋️💥

Once Ali wraps up an amazing in-studio tattoo on Sarah’s arm, we get her in front of the mic to talk shop—literally! We deep dive into how Rust & Ember Ink came to be, what led Ali to pick up a tattoo machine in the first place, and her path from culinary arts to creating her own cozy, approachable studio space. From there, we dive headfirst into a chaotic game of Incoherent that tests our collective sanity.

Plus, we get into:
🎒 The real MVP of Alaska: “Fat Bear Week”
✈️ Airport pet peeves (there are many)
🌌 Deep-space telescope discoveries & ocean mysteries
🍻 Testing our limits with Chicago’s worst: ice-cold Malort shots & candy

Prepare yourself for over two hours of pure, beautiful chaos to kick off Season 3.

🗓️ DROPPING THIS FRIDAY, 10/16!
🎧 Catch us on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts!
