For Jacek’s @fashion_east show, I made something that seems to be about closeness.

Modular—chiming, unified, to this rhythm, as if there weren’t a gulf between us, as if we aren’t alone; as if we are really here, hearing the same sounds.

My friend Henrike died on Valentine's Day, and I've spent the last two weeks waiting for wise words to come, but they haven't. So here she is, as well as her work, which you should know.

Thank you Henrike for your emotional generosity, your practice, your kindness, and for laughing at almost all of my jokes. I am very fortunate to have known you.

Like everything I’ve ever finished, ‘it’s true’ took ages, and only truly came to life with the help of others.

I made this little BTS, shot by @hannahvgallery and @jinghuiizhang because it reminds me the softness and connectedness felt that day, in those clothes, and maybe also, in this song.

’it’s true’ is on Spotify, Apple Music etc, now.

Thanks to @junior.x.l for helping me get this out of my head, and into a cohesive whole.

‘it’s true’ was made to wear Jacek’s collection of the same name. You can stream it now.

It’s about holding conflicting truths in one hand, whilst trying to draw meaning from a world that is a little overwhelming.

Walking & singing for my friend is a thing that brings me much joy. Jacek has a tendency to bring together the most lovely and talented of people. When we do shoots or shows, I come away nourished by our time together.

“it’s true”, I am releasing a song on Friday & that is its name.

I made it for the film, ‘Diary’, which responds to Jacek’s MA collection. It will premiere on Nowness, and screen at @icalondon as part of @fashion_east 25th anniversary, hosted by @dazed

Through the lens of Nijinsky’s ‘Afternoon of a Faun’, we, in Jacek’s clothes, tell a story of a mythical male creature who, upon waking, encounters a group of nymphs. Uncertain if he’s awake or dreaming, he’s drawn to them—but they flee, leaving behind a scarf. He picks it up and begins to dance with it, eventually finishing in a crescendo of intimate reverie.
