Some of you may be familiar with my book "Gentleman". I wrote it in the late 1990s. I also had to find every single piece of clothing plus all the accessories that were to be photographed in the studio in Cologne (in addition to the pictures that were shot on location in London, Paris, NYC etc.). Why Cologne? Because I lived there at the time and the publishers were located there too. I had known @john_crocket before I had come to Cologne. I had bought their Scottish made lambswool sweaters, a Aran sweater that I still own, their English shirts, hats and their welted shoes. In fact the red velvet slippers embroidered with my initials that were pictured in the book were mto by John Crocket for me. The shopowner, Dr. Thomas Schmitz, had been a valuable source during my research. No wonder I was curious when Dr. Schmitz told me about a video that he had produced about a certain pair of shoes that we had photographed back then. Have a look for yourself. by @john_crocket
