Trots!
Gister ben ik er achter gekomen dan @faasje.b en ik met @moksha.filmpage zijn genomineerd voor de MPSE golden reel awards!
De MPSE is een van de grootste organisaties op gebied van (film)geluid wereldwijd, dus ik ben trots om genoemd te kunnen worden tussen de andere genomineerden.

Voor mijn vierde afstudeerproject heb ik samen met @faasje.b de rol van supervising sound designer en re-recording mixer voor @moksha.filmpage mogen vervullen. (Regie @joebjorn en @jeroen.vanduyvenbode)
Daarnaast had ik de kans mee te gaan naar Macedonië, om daar de geweldige score van @xm_niu opgenomen te zien worden bij @fames.institute.

Voor mijn afstuderen heb ik vorig jaar voor @bungelen.film van @floflofloris samen met @melleposthuma de Sound Design en Mixage mogen doen. (Prachtige score van @jules.sberg)

Afgelopen jaar heb ik met veel liefde mee mogen werken aan @dekleinehoteldetective, als zowel regie-assistent voor @juliavanbraak, als samen met @melleposthuma de Sound Design en Mix! (En met amazing score van @jamiealpherts)

Sinds vandaag zijn de afstudeer docu’s van ons filmacademie-jaar zichtbaar op NPO Doc.
Onder andere “Moeders Moeders Moeders”, waar ik, samen met regisseur Paul Hylkema en de rest van de crew, veel tijd en energie in heb gestopt.

I graduated as sound designer, together with my lovely friends.

Had the pleasure of working on three amazing films as supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer.

For Floris van Doorn’s ‘Bungelen’ we had the challenging, but fun task of working on the edge of comedy and horror. A twisted story that needed a big soundtrack. @john_farburg and I designed, supervised and mixed this film as a team. Great production sound provided by @sebastiaan_koning and his team. And the picture edit couldn’t have been in better hands than @lucvanbaar

For Julia van Braak’s ‘De Kleine Hoteldetective’ we had a lot of fun creating the sonic world for a family movie, and with that the fantasy of a child’s mind. A very high paced, fx heavy, colorful story, with an amazing, rich, score by @jamiealpherts that made it so much fun to mix everything together. This film @john_farburg and I teamed up as well, supervising, designing and mixing together. Another top notch production sound job done by @sebastiaan_koning and his team. A very close, and fun collaboration with picture editor @madeliefjoore

For Lotte Salomon’s ‘Sanyi Kakas’ I had the task to mix a very dialogue heavy documentary. I also provided the film with some additional sound design on @luc.boymans initial work. The film was a challenge because it was fully Hungarian, which is a difficult language to mix, but I learned a lot from it. Another very fun collaboration with composer @jamiealpherts , first time collaboration with director @lottesalomons and another very close and wholesome collaboration with picture editor @madeliefjoore . This film was also provided with great production sound by @sebastiaan_koning

I learned so much from everyone I worked with, and am very grateful to have met all these lovely people. On to the next one! Can’t wait. ❤️ taken in Nederlandse Filmacademie by @john_farburg

Tijdje geleden bij de tentoonstelling “The Fly” van mijn naamgenoot en oom Jan Marinus Verburg. Overweldigend is het beste woord om het te beschrijven, zeker het zien waard als je de kans hebt by @john_farburg
