Alec is back and officially flying over our heads again. Jan filled Ties’ shoes with elegance and started making holes in the floor.

Our coach is so good she even taught us to show the right amount of fingers this time. We are unstoppable like this.

I graduated as sound designer, together with my lovely friends.

Had the pleasure of working on three amazing films as supervising sound editor and re-recording mixer.

For Floris van Doorn’s ‘Bungelen’ we had the challenging, but fun task of working on the edge of comedy and horror. A twisted story that needed a big soundtrack. @john_farburg and I designed, supervised and mixed this film as a team. Great production sound provided by @sebastiaan_koning and his team. And the picture edit couldn’t have been in better hands than @lucvanbaar

For Julia van Braak’s ‘De Kleine Hoteldetective’ we had a lot of fun creating the sonic world for a family movie, and with that the fantasy of a child’s mind. A very high paced, fx heavy, colorful story, with an amazing, rich, score by @jamiealpherts that made it so much fun to mix everything together. This film @john_farburg and I teamed up as well, supervising, designing and mixing together. Another top notch production sound job done by @sebastiaan_koning and his team. A very close, and fun collaboration with picture editor @madeliefjoore

For Lotte Salomon’s ‘Sanyi Kakas’ I had the task to mix a very dialogue heavy documentary. I also provided the film with some additional sound design on @luc.boymans initial work. The film was a challenge because it was fully Hungarian, which is a difficult language to mix, but I learned a lot from it. Another very fun collaboration with composer @jamiealpherts , first time collaboration with director @lottesalomons and another very close and wholesome collaboration with picture editor @madeliefjoore . This film was also provided with great production sound by @sebastiaan_koning

I learned so much from everyone I worked with, and am very grateful to have met all these lovely people. On to the next one! Can’t wait. ❤️

🍿 Moksha - In een duistere, apocalyptische wereld, waarin elke vallende ster de aarde een stap dichterbij totale verduistering brengt, werkt een eenzame uitvinder wanhopig aan een machine die de sterren terug de ruimte in kan sturen. Wanneer de laatste ster ter aarde stort weet de uitvinder deze net op tijd in zijn voltooide machine te plaatsen. Alles lijkt goed te komen totdat de machine plots uit elkaar vliegt. De ster dooft, en alle hoop lijkt verloren.

🍿 BUNGELEN - Mart (40), al jaren geteisterd door moordlust, ontvoert zijn buurman Chris na diens mislukte zelfmoordpoging. Als Chris op zolder zit opgesloten worstelt Mart met de vraag of hij eindelijk zijn duistere verlangen zal vervullen, terwijl zijn vrouw beneden in de woonkamer een grootschalige zoekactie leidt naar de vermiste buurman.

🍿 De Kleine Hoteldetective - De elfjarige Billie is blij dat ze in de vakantie weer iets leuks gaat doen met haar moeder, de drukbezette hoteleigenaresse Estella. Alleen blijkt er een geheime inspecteur in het hotel te verblijven. Billie besluit als een detective naar hem op zoek te gaan om zo haar moeders aandacht terug te winnen.

🍿 Moeders, Moeders, Moeders - is een intiem portret waarin regisseur Paul (27) op zoek gaat naar de redenen waarom hij en zijn moeder niet over familieproblematiek kunnen praten. Om antwoorden te vinden, neemt hij na een stilte van tien jaar contact op met zijn vervreemde familieleden en ontdekt hij een familiegeschiedenis van wegkijken en ontkenning.
