Today marks the halfway point of my internship with Missions of Hope International in Nairobi, Kenya. I know I have supporters on instagram that may not see my facebook updates so I want to take the time to thank everyone that has supported me along the way. Being imbedded in MOHI with Kenyan staff serving in the clinics for 4 weeks has been amazing. This is a whole new side to international ministry than I have ever seen and this opportunity has been amazing.

Special thanks to my host missionaries @gerbersgo for being amazing and helping us with everything we could possibly need while in country. Also check out @mohiafrica for all updates on what this amazing organization is doing here in Kenya as well as in Liberia and Ethiopia.

Thanks again for all the support!🇰🇪 taken in Nairobi, Kenya by @john_w06

Dear Friends and Family,

This summer I will be serving as a Medical Missionary REACH intern with Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF) for eight weeks in Nairobi, Kenya. CMF has been involved in global ministry for over 75 years in 25 countries, including medical mission work. I believe this opportunity is where God is calling me, and I am excited to grow spiritually while helping serve others and share Christ’s love.

I am asking for your partnership through prayer and, if you feel led, financial support. I am responsible for raising $7,000 to cover expenses such as airfare, housing, meals, immunizations, and ministry costs. Donations can be made to “CMF International” online at https://give.cmfi.org/donate/john-winstead-reach-26 by clicking “give” next to my name; all gifts are tax-deductible. Thank you for your encouragement and support—if you have questions or would like to talk, you can reach me at (502) 203-7654 or johncwinstead@icloud.com.

Thanks and God bless,
John by @john_w06

To say this mission trip to Guatemala has been anything short of life changing would be a lie. We not only touched lives through God but He touched our lives as well. These houses we built may seem simple to us but it has is a life changer to these people. I just want to thank everyone for every prayer said, every donation, and every well wish that got me here. It’s not over yet but the goodbye’s tomorrow night and Monday morning will be the hardest part. I will forever cherish Guatemala and these relationships with these amazing people.🇬🇹 taken in Mixco-Guatemala by @john_w06
