New grandpa!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

What a great evening! I got to install my new padawan, Johnny Trinklein, as church planting vicar at our sending church, @bethanylutheransocal ! We’ll be working together in the Belmont and Marina neighborhoods of Long Beach and hopefully see a new church emerge there. We’re in the process of building a team and partnerships. Hit me up if you want more info. @coastalmission @psdlcms by @johnalwood

Here’s the little man born yesterday. Andrew Widmann, @carolalwood and my first grandchild!

He’s a handsome dude, no?

So proud of @lilwidmann and @swidmann04 for the parents they already are. We’re praying that the Lord would give you wisdom, patience, joy, and strength as you raise Andrew, and that He would be with you every step of the way. May Andrew grow to know and love Jesus, and may your home always be filled with His grace, peace, and laughter.
What a gift from God. We’re already crazy about this little guy. by @johnalwood

I’ve been MIA from social media for awhile, but this weekend calls for a post. I couldn’t be more proud of these three as I get to watch them transition into adulthood over the past couple years. @lilwidmann and her husband @swidmann04 became parents yesterday. Today, @lukealwood_ came one giant step closer to a childhood dream of becoming a Major League Baseball player when he was drafted by the Cubs. And recently @trinalwood secured a contract with the LBUSD as a music teacher in her first year. What an exciting time of life to be a dad and uncle! And to see all of these “kids” grow up to love the Lord makes it all so sweet. Keep sporting those “Alwood smiles,” guys! Love you so much. by @johnalwood

Didn’t know yams in a breakfast burrito was a thing. If this is how the Midwest rolls, it’s gonna be a long 2 weeks. Gross. On the bright side, the burrito wasn’t $22. taken in St. Louis, Missouri by @johnalwood

So happy to be home with the denomination I grew up in - the @thelcms . If you're in the Irvine area on Saturday, I'll be speaking at a conference in the Concordia U Chapel (the building that looks like Space Mountain) about a new initiative in the Southwest US to start 100 gospel proclaiming communities in 10 yrs. Can’t wait!! by @johnalwood
