September was always my favourite month. The Atlantic would wake back up and the sea was still warm.
As a consequence though, generally after a few lazy weeks in July/August, I dont want to count the amount of times Iv injured myself in September.

Yesterday, there were waves. Id been excited, Id been watching the forecast about a week making plans, but maybe Im getting sensible in my old age. My body wasnt feeling it so instead of pushing it I just went for a swim instead and photographed some microwaves.

Not what Id hoped to be at, but still grateful to be back in the sea. by @johnbeasley.ie

Thank you so much to Tina and the team at Bandon Library for the opportunity and the help.
I know I'm very early, but I installed some work to coincide with #culturenight at Bandon Library today.

I think a library is such a fitting space for this show. The title is very much inspired by The Odyssey, one of the original stories of a time spent staring at the endless horizon.

(and a massive shout out to the living legend that is @redballooncork who was not only first in the door, but was my model to try show the scale, Id forgotten how big they were...) by @johnbeasley.ie

Iv gone out a few years to photograph the Perseids to varying levels of success (I even ended up in a bog hole up a mountain once chasing them)

The other night, I hadnt even remembered they were happening til I was sitting outside my van and saw a few flashes.
This is by far the brightest one Iv ever seen.
