This year reminded me why I picked up a camera in the first place. Thankful for the opportunities, the support, the people I’ve gotten to know along the way and the unforgettable moments I got to document in 2025. None of this happens alone and I don’t take any of it for granted. 2026 is about growth; creatively, professionally and personally.

Still hungry. Still learning. Always grateful. 🚀 by @johnellpannell

the number one reason why people give up so fast is because they tend to look at how far they still have to go, instead of how far they’ve gotten 🚀🚀🚀 2025: the best yet 🎆 by @johnellpannell

The @connecticutsun were the first professional team to embrace me on their sidelines in 2021. I remember being nervous at my first game and @kingalcide telling me “you got this”

Fast forward six years and not only was I blessed to be a small part of documenting the Sun’s last game ever, but I got to meet countless numbers of incredible players, coaches, fans, media members, fellow photographers, creatives - PEOPLE - that I owe a lot to. People who’ve impacted me more than you’ll ever know.

I’ll never be able to fully articulate or tell every one of you how much I appreciate you, but trust me, I do. To all the photographers I got to share sidelines with, thank you for silently pushing me to be better by being great at what you all do. To my Sun Content fam, don’t forget about me when y’all are baking in Texas in July 😂 the amount of growth I’ve seen in 3 years has been ridiculous. I can’t wait to see what you all do. To the coaching staff, thank you for holding me accountable to not forget about yall on game days lol To Sun management, thank you for giving me an opportunity. Thank you for trusting I’d represent and portray the team in the best way I possibly could. To the players, we’re nothing without you. Athletic talents aside, the joy, the jokes, the laughs, your personalities made every moment worth it
