POSTS STORIES REELS

Tomorrow we release Part I of ‘The Village of Vale’ Find it wherever you listen to music!

It’s been over ten years since Vale was born in @theinvisibledog, and though we joke that we’d be content to keep working on it deep into the late stages of life, it’s always nice to find our moments to share.

This record and audio series feature the incredible talents of @gizeljimenezofficial, @johnmcgroove, @benjwalker, @amymkeum, @silverthroat, Corey J, @heartofgoldstein, @itskyanafanene, @johnnywithanh, and @zabrynaguevara. You’ll hear instrumental arrangements and music production from @ryanfranksmusic, and additional vocal arrangements by Matt Goldstein. Sound design by @joevarca and Ryan Franks. Mixing by @weethewalrus and mastering by @jettgalindo. Audio engineering by @mattdshane. GM’d by Hillel Friedman @ Evan Bernardin Productions. Casting by @michaelcassara. Production Managed by Jakob Plummer. Directed by @lulubellarothe, and the project is produced by Tony Award winning producer, Jane Dubin @jbd222 .

How do four people end up sounding as a massive battalion of villagers, you ask? These @furranks arrangements are 🔥, folks! Not to mention the power of a @weethewalrus mix and the clarity of a @jettgalindo master.

Have you heard our first 3 songs from Vale yet? Available now wherever you find your music (unless you are digging through CDs, tapes, and vinyls at your local shop).

Follow @villageofvale for more. And be on the lookout for the next single - to be dropped when the moon blocks the sun.

My dad passed away 3 years ago today.

A song about the slow grief of a degenerative disease - how the final goodbye rarely feels acute, because the mourning started long before the end.

Vulnerable share here. Working on a new song and feeling weird about sharing, but here we are. I’ve been listening to a lot of new music that feels almost like a throwback to nineties rock. This is a new song I’m putting together inspired by that sound. It’s fun to do, but without gigging, no one to play it for apart from my wife and boys, hence the share and temp check. Needs either a better chorus or a crazy good bridge. What do you think? A = keep going, B = stick to being a music exec, C = more Village of Vale, please. I’ve got about 5 other tunes written and happy to share (if indeed it’s not feeling too cringe 💀). by @johnmcgroove

A final post about @composers_summit_official as I reflect and sit in the afterglow of the week.

We joke that it felt like composer/music industry summer camp. The bonds forged in Prague are strong and real. @alexsmutny has truly built a global event that will continue to transform and strengthen the business for years to come… Grateful to be a part. by @johnmcgroove

Here’s a small portion. 🤝 (Note: I forgot to take a photo with Ollie and the folks at Theodore Music, so the first pic is AI’s UNHINGED take on a photo of us together. 😂)
