Personality, playfulness, and above and beyond hospitality I haven’t experienced in Australia for years.

@thewhale.narooma has absolutely smashed it with the soft and hard product.

10/10, no notes 🐳

There’s no place quite like @gairnshiellodge 🍂

I first visited with my dad during our trip around the highlands for his 60th birthday. Once a playhouse for generations of royals, its 19th century façade now hides a gloriously juxtaposed interior.

Six years later I convinced Lara, sight unseen, it was the only spot in the world perfect enough for our winter wedding.

Our dream reception dinner at the magical @thefifearms also deserves a mention. Their unmatched hospitality made it happen even when the snow had other plans. Quirky, warm, indulgent. No trip to the highlands is complete without a night there.

These are my favourite 🎞️ moments immortalised for good. taken in Gairnshiel Lodge by @johnmcmaahon

Walking down this backstreet in Paddington the other day I stumbled upon a boutique I never expected to see in Sydney.

A garage conversion that’s part menswear store/part coffee house/part listening bar. Because why not.

I never saw Costa Brava coming and now I don’t want to go anywhere else in the Med. Midweek in September is such a delightful time of year.
