That’s a win for Panther Pride #PawsUp

My alma mater and my employer @FIUHospitality is now ranked Top 3 among U.S. public programs in the 2026 QS World University Rankings, solidifying our place as the #1 program in Florida.

Huge thank you to Dean Michael Cheng @prof.cheng the team at @fiuhospitality , and amazing Assistant Teaching Professor and Culinary Lead the amazing Chef @johnnoblemasi for such a special and insightful tour. Seeing firsthand the passion, talent, and dedication from the students, chefs, and staff truly speaks volumes about the future of this industry.

Wow! What an Amazing Past 12 months this has been. This past July, I had the honor to receive the Presidential Medallion at the Annual American Culinary Federation (ACF) Conference in Las Vegas. In December, I was equally honored to receive the Educator of the Year award at our local Palm Beach ACF Awards Dinner. The icing on the cake happened today with me receiving the Community Award at FIU's Annual Service and Recognition Awards Ceremony. We have an amazing Leadership team at @fiuhospitality that has supported me the past 10 years in all things and given me opportunities to engage with our local and International community through our Admissions Team, our Career Team, Development Team, Alumni Relations, and Executive Leadership teams, as well as encouraged my personal development in pursuit of my PhD. Thanks to all the faculty, staff, and students that support me and in particular to Dr. Suzanne Bagnera who was the first person to nominate me and all those who supported my nomination with personal letters. I am beyond humbled and eternally grateful to all for this recognition. I will do my best to continuously improve all we do at the NUMBER ONE Hospitality program in the State of Florida and give the BEST STUDENTS the BEST EDUCATION! taken in FIU by @johnnoblemasi

Her dreams started while at #FIUHospitality.

Just two years after graduating, alumna Fiona Butler @butler.fio butler.fio returned to the FIU Bistro as Chef de Partie at the Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club, to serve her pastries and inspire students in the very kitchen where she first learned to dream big.

From piping pastries as a student to sharing her craft with the next generation, it was a full-circle moment for our alumna.

200 mini pumpkin 🥧 pies, 30 pecan pies, 25 apple 🍎cranberry pies and other goodies made with a lot of love this Thanksgiving season!
