The FIU Bistro is located at the Wine Spectator Restaurant Management Laboratory at FIU’s BBC. Ran by the hospitality and tourism management students at the Chaplin School.

Another competition in the books! ✨

Congratulations to our students who competed for a chance at a $500 scholarship and the opportunity to showcase their winning dish at the @deeringestate Seafood Festival on April 14!

Katelyn Hammond and Nataliyah Magee rose to the top with their Jamaican inspired Clam Curry Rondon and “Reggae Sunrise”!

Casting my mind back to Asian Night Market at @SOBEWFF this year, hosted by @jettila and myself.

Did you know that this food festival benefits the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University? (@fiuhospitality). If you came this year, you probably saw at least a few of the over 1500 student volunteers helping make this festival the huge success that it always is. Thank you Chef @johnnoblemasi for leading such a tremendous tribe of students! And of course, thank you @mgarrido1210 for producing our event every year.

Night Market is everything that Jet and I value: a time to appreciate the rich diversity of the Asian culinary landscape in the tradition of street food found at night markets across Asia, great music (thanks @BrendanThaNavigator for contributing to the playlist!) and time to make memories with friends new and old.
