One year ago today, I couldn't go 9 hours without alcohol or drugs.

Nine hours. That was my whole world — for 25+ years.

Then came surrender. Asking for help. Meetings. One day at a time — 365 of them.

Today, on my birthday, I celebrate one full year clean and sober.

That car accident rocked me to my core, man. These feelings are CRAZY.

But you know what? It’s refreshing to go through life actually FEELING again. 🙏

Don’t get me wrong, it’s different. You have to adjust to feeling the good, the bad, the fear, and the uncertainty.

But today, I’m facing life head-on instead of running from it.

For the first time in a long time, I feel brave. I feel courageous.
