Johnny Sober — Biography | @johnny.sober Johnny Sober is a recovery advocate, storyteller, and creator dedicated to showing others that no matter how far addiction takes you, recovery is possible. From an early age, Johnny lived with ADHD and later played varsity football, where he sustained multiple head injuries at a time when concussion awareness was far less understood. He often hid his injuries and played through them, eventually experiencing ongoing post-concussive symptoms and feeling as though he simply wasn’t himself. At the time, however, he didn’t understand how to process the weight of these losses. Instead, he turned to alcohol and other substances to suppress his emotions, escape the pain, and quiet the chaos in his mind. What began as a way to cope eventually became the very thing destroying his life. After years of increasingly destructive addiction and three treatment facilities...
