Two-seater: where I sit everyday for coffee, correspondence, bills, scribbles (on a Julian calendar), lots of post-it’s, longing for romance, sex, come have coffee. Today the radio played “Romance for horn & piano, Op. 67”. YouTube algorithmed tour of Hunt House in Malibu. I’ve taken @lawrencesteele @asliceofbambi @charleyboat @klfbiz3 to this address, always under construction, but you didn’t know anything. This couple really fixed it up. Restored it. Fantastic. Really really special. This couple blows my mind. Frank and I are shareholders in Mies’ Lafayette Park. Our unit has some original we kept, as much as we could. I cook, a lot. Kitchen was a disaster. Hey J-bird. It’s good, right? This sliver? Passerby’s will see it. It’ll be breakfast, lunch and dinner for Frankie and me. We drove L to your grave on Saturday. We picked up Maybe. Her gift to us. It’s hard. She pointed out the beautiful stones people have left on your grave. One you found yourself on a walk, hand painted blue and inscribed “Have a Beautiful Day”. She set up a folding chair. That was our cue to bow out. Left her with her thoughts: mourning, grieving, communication between the living and the dead. God bless you buddy. I never imagined getting here together. Once here, makes sense. It’s how things roll on planet Earth 🌎. No regrets, but did I love enough? Help enough? I’m an ego-centered shadow, I think. Depressing. “If they ask me, I could write a book!” 📕 This is dumb in the scheme, but upon returning home, found the perfect spot for Jason Pickleman’s “Maybe” (I call it Rainbow 🌈 Bright!). Clear the chartreuse shelves of bric-à-brac. Have @charleyboat lay out his amazing current sculptures. Invite a gallerist or curators of sorts to see, discuss possibilities of a show, shows.
