The Muay Thai smokers event in Woodbridge, Virginia, August 2026. Just one shot out of hundreds I gotta review. I knocked this one out early because I hate the sorting stage, and I need to see results somewhere.
Being there at this makes me wanna get back into it. Muay Thai was my thing. Still is. It never leaves you. Some things are a part of your identity as a man or a woman. You can't escape it. I have to get back into it. After all, one should have one hobby for creativity, and one hobby for your body.
This stuff is calling me.
I might be too old at 45, but it's not like I'm going for some sort of champion-level fighting if I do. I'd be doing it because it's a part of me. I am it, and it is I.
Muay Thai is just as much a part of my personhood as critical thinking, analysis, and justice.

#NoKings Protest, Washington DC, March 28th, 2026.

There was a lot of talk about not showing up for this. Those who argue such cite that this is nearly performative, simply a parade if it isn't moving the needle. The thing about this No Kings event is that at the end, there were multiple advocacy groups to talk to and join for more information, and more socio-political action. I myself talked to Common Defense, which is a progressive military veteran-oriented group for wide range of political change--right up my alley. Perhaps you would have found a group that fit your measure of talent and experience as well.

Don't sleep on these events these activists build.
