Becoming from Beyond (2026)

What constitutes a good life? How do we live with the unknown? What projects will we dedicate our lives to?

Making this artwork felt like a truly loving process. I’ve never made something that expresses this kind of compassion, as I think it’s sometimes been an easy escape to express something harsh, and discomforting instead. Looking forward to exploring this kind of work in future.

This was the last artwork I made during my time at the @nyartsprogram I’ll keep you guys posted on future projects.

Minimally Invasive (2026)

Is all progress good progress? What things should we choose to revere? What things do we let invade our spaces?

The second art work I made for the @nyartsprogram This was a tough one, it took a long time for it to look right, and I used a lot of references for the wrinkles (including one photo of JK Simmons). Really happy with how this one came out.

I Refuse to be Made Useful (2026)

Who do you want me to be? What does it mean to be useful? What’s the line between being useful and being used?

This was the first piece I made during my time at the @nyartsprogram, and it was my first time ever using colored pencils in my work. Super proud of this one.

I’ve made a lot of work that I’m proud of, but nothing like this. When the idea for this piece came to me, I felt like I had stumbled upon something that was beyond me.

I just hope that with my work I can encourage people to ask questions instead of answering them, and I think this piece does that.
