After 6–8 weeks of writing, spiraling, bombing, rebuilding, and figuring out who they actually are on stage…

Our Comedy Dojo students are stepping into the spotlight.

This isn’t a polished industry showcase.

This is the raw part.
The beginning.
The leap.

Modern stand-up comedy is different now.
It’s presence.
Authenticity.
Crowd work.
Chaos.
Truth.
Learning how to be funny without hiding behind a character.

And this Saturday at Backroom, you’ll watch comics in real time discovering their voice.

Some will crush.
Some will spiral beautifully.
Some might accidentally become killers.

That’s live comedy.

Come support the next wave of comedians inside Toronto’s underground dojo of funny.

THE COMEDY DOJO COMEDY CLASS SHOWCASE
📍 Backroom Comedy Club
📅 Saturday, September 26th
⏰ 6PM
🎟️ $18

Bring friends.
Bring energy.
And if you’ve ever secretly thought about trying stand-up yourself…

Come see what the first step actually looks like. taken in Backroom Comedy Club by @johnwinning83
