Update! We had mandatory evacuation for hurricane Isaias on Friday and we left! You don’t have to convince me 😂. Went to hang with Sebastian in Tallahassee for a fun overnight and Indian food, some Dj action and Beirao. Came home yesterday and found minor damage from the hurricane, thank God. No power yet (we would love it if it came back today), but the weather is absolutely gorgeous and perfect fall temperature. WiFi is still down. Thanks to all who reached out. On another note, we just realized the world we live in is so noisy and we don’t even notice. There’s so much much stillness and peace in the quiet, and that we are appreciating🙏🏽 “Be still and know that I am God”, thanks for reminding me! #grateful by @johyjohy

Happy birthday to my baby sister…not so baby anymore😂. I was 14 when you were born and I had to wait many more years for you to grow up and become my best friend! Every moment we spend together is the best time ever! You are funny, smart, kind hearted, witty, super fun, wise beyond your years and so emotionally connected to me that it’s hard to believe we are so different. We just work! What a privilege to do life with my sister who is also my best friend! Mirror selfie to honor Laura, our daughter in law who is from Colombia, and who started the mirror selfie tradition in our family (Ohana). Drinks at our hotel and then dinner and dancing at El Colosal. Had the most delicious cocktail made with Aguardiente “Guaro”, which is the spirit most people drink here. Medellín! Beautiful mountain views and a vibrant city full of life. The food scene is off the charts. The funniest and warmest and so down to earth people…we laughed so hard everywhere! On my birthday this year, our sweet little puppy Ginger was diagnosed with lymphoma, which is a type of cancer. We were devastated as she is only 6 years old. The hardest part is that where we lived there wasn’t a veterinary oncologist to treat her, which made a cancer treatment impossible for us. Our sweet daughter Isa, who lives in Atlanta, volunteered to take Ginger in and take her to her appointments once a week… it’s been almost 5 months! Today after 16 treatments Ginger graduated and is cancer free🥹😭 She has lost some of her hair, but is in good spirits and has done really well with chemo. Nothing is for certain, but we are very grateful we were able to do this financially with our daughter’s unconditional and unwavering help. We don’t know how to thank you Isa, but we are so grateful💕💕💕. Thank you to Doctor Callahan, the sweetest guy who has walked with us in this process and the staff at St Francis Veterinary Specialists, we are so thankful God put you in our path when we had no idea what to do. Five months later, we will have our puppy back home and can’t wait to introduce her back to her life for as long as the Lord allows us to have her. Happy birthday to this girl I love with all my heart! Our friendship is the oldest friendship in my life…we were neighbors, went to school together, went to college together, spent summers with our kids many times and have been in each other’s lives when it really counted. If we’re together, we are laughing our butts off nonstop and we are each other‘s biggest cheerleaders! You are one of my biggest blessings.
