To question what truly matters NOW becomes powerful. It becomes an extension of yourself and how you want to show up in this world.

Safar was born from the hands and sketches of those experiencing gaps in medicine work.

To design a tool that helps us remember continuity, connection, and care in a world that moves too fast to hold them is what came of those experiences.

Two powerful technologies of healing, the ancestral and the emerging, are converging whether we plan for it or not. The only real question is whether the people carrying the older one are in the room when the newer one gets built.

That’s why being there mattered. When sacred medicine gets translated into clinical and digital systems, something can be gained and something can be lost. Meaning flattened into metrics. Relationship reduced to data. The knowledge keepers who have carried these traditions left out of the rooms where decisions get made.

We build technology for this space. Which is exactly why we need to keep showing up to listen, accountable to the lineages this work draws from, and clear that what we build has to answer to more than optimization.

Some things can be measured. Some things can only be honored. The Forum was a reminder of how much depends on knowing the difference.

Friends and family of Safar attended, spoke, and brought together the beats of our past present and future.

Her background spans consumer, technology, climate, and global organizations, with a focus on translating complex, evolving ideas into clear, human-centered strategies. She has spent her career in early-stage, zero-to-one environments, building communications infrastructure and navigating ambiguity in fast-moving categories.

"They want me out of this world. They want me to die."

Sabba Nazhand's mother said that to him almost daily one summer in the early 90s, crying in front of his Michael Jordan poster. She wanted to get better. There was no consistent care to be found.

Thirty years later, 122 million Americans live in mental health provider shortage areas. Sabba is now building an AI toolkit for psychedelic integration practitioners, and his new op-ed for us makes a careful case: AI belongs beside the therapist, working the gap between sessions, not pretending to be the therapist.

He also names parts of what can go wrong, because he's seen the hype too.
