"They want me out of this world. They want me to die." Sabba Nazhand's mother said that to him almost daily one summer in the early 90s, crying in front of his Michael Jordan poster. She wanted to get better. There was no consistent care to be found. Thirty years later, 122 million Americans live in mental health provider shortage areas. Sabba is now building an AI toolkit for psychedelic integration practitioners, and his new op-ed for us makes a careful case: AI belongs beside the therapist, working the gap between sessions, not pretending to be the therapist. He also names parts of what can go wrong, because he's seen the hype too. Link in bio. New on Psychedelics Today

What happens when a man walks through depression, trauma, and the depths of psychedelic healing, and comes out the other side building the future of mental health? That's Sabba Nazhand's story. @sabba_joinsafar @joinsafar 🎙️ In this episode of WELLPOWER, I sat down with the Co-Founder & CEO of Safar to explore a question quietly shaping our world: Can AI help us heal without costing us our humanity? Together, we unpack: 🧠 Why psychedelic healing fails without integration 🤖 How AI is transforming mental health support faster than most realize 🌿 The ethics of biotech, underground facilitation & the psychedelic renaissance 🔗 Why human connection is becoming more valuable, not less, as technology accelerates Whether you're a facilitator, therapist, coach, entrepreneur, or someone navigating your own transformation, this episode is for you. Ancient wisdom. Modern innovation. And the bridge between them. 🎧 New episode now @wellpowerpodcast. STREAM NOW! #PsychedelicHealing #MentalHealth #AI #HumanConnection #psychedelicrenaissance

Using an AI chatbot as your psychedelic therapist is a thorny proposition. But @sabba_joinsafar thinks AI still has a role to play, even if a human is still in the loop. For our latest newsletter, we interviewed him about what he’s calling the first operating system for human transformation. Read it through our link in bio. 🫠

Sabba Nazhand isn’t a tech bro. (He’s a technology brother. Show some respect.) After psychedelics helped him resolve his childhood trauma, he assembled a dream team and built an AI-powered integration platform to help more people sustain transformation, long after the journey ends. We asked Sabba what’s broken about current integration models, how he’s bringing authentic indigenous wisdom into a tech product, and why he believes AI belongs in psychedelic healing despite the risks. The full interview drops in our newsletter tomorrow. Subscribe through our link in bio. 🫠
