THE GUTS
My first video installation ✨

During the @notations.hosq laboratory and festival run by the beautiful @hosq.co team, more than 100 people from all around the world came together to create, collaborate, and connect. It was an amazing and transformative experience and opportunity.

These two weeks were full of joy, sleepless nights, hard work, connections, friendship, believing in one another, and mutual support. Platforms like this are truly inspiring, and I’m so glad I had the chance to be part of it.

I was part of the Documentary Art Department, where I initiated a personal project that turned out to be technically challenging. With the help of my curators, @somewherestation , Evgeny Sharakshane who believed in me and my idea, and the beautiful artists who participated in it, I was able to bring my vision to life.

The project found its own space at the Philharmonic, which feels unbelievable and incredible. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and for all the support. Without you, it wouldn’t have been possible.

The theme of this year’s festival was rituals, and the idea for THE GUTS came to me during one of the hardest periods of my artistic career and life. Laugh it out that’s what I thought. The ritual of laughter brings relief and lightness into life.

The totem of TVs and the room filled with laughter is an invitation to experience a storm of different emotions through the simple, universal act of laughing.

Also huge thanks to everyone who supported technically @momik.vardanyan @otarararats @hayrapetyanarev

You never know…..

. Existence .

Im a post soviet child with mixed values of cultural identity, community and individualism. Believing in fairytale justice, love and friendship growing to become an adult eventually lost in a concept of it. Become a disappointed disappointment. No one knows how to live a life everyone just figuring it out on the way.
