She would always ask, “Are you gonna post or am I?” Today… I’ll post.

Words can’t describe the heartache I feel thinking you won’t be on this earth anymore but the joy I feel knowing you are in a place with no mourning, no pain, no death. Memory after memory comes to mind — tears, pain, laughter, joy — all somehow coinciding in the same.

I rejoice in the pain of my grief because you have gained the utmost reward. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and have received a crown of righteoussness. You are home!

You were my safe place — and for so many others too. Your love was unconditional and intentional, fierce and loyal. It was full of peace, full of joy, and full of patience (even though you would’ve disagreed with being patient).

You taught me how to sit with God. (She would imagine the two of them outside in the sun, sitting in lawn chairs — God drinking sweet tea,
Angie drinking Diet Coke.) And that’s how I picture her in heaven, sitting with her Creator.

Thank you for being a good mentor and friend, thank you for listening to me and making me feel seen. Thank you for crying with me in brokenness and rejoicing with me in victory. Thank you for believing in me, championing me, and challenging me to grow. You always used to tell me “You are stronger than you think, sister.” Thank you for showing me what endurance looks like. Thank you for your devotion and obedience. Thank you for being you.

I’m blessed to have known you and been known by you, Angie. Missing you already feels like an understatement and you will be deeply missed by many. I’ll see ya later 🫶🏼 by @joliegutt

For our one year anniversary, Joseph and I went back to the beach he proposed at. Played we’re not really strangers, reread our vows, and finished the night at The Garlic (the restaurant he took me to before he proposed). This year has been one filled with many different kinds of adventures and I can’t wait to continue to build this life with you Joseph Gutteridge. I love you ❤️ cheers to 60 or something more by @joliegutt
