My first poetry book ‘Heal My Heroes: a superpowered KERM joint’ is available on Amazon! I’m a self published author that can use all the help I can get, so please like, comment, and share with any and everyone to help find new homes for this book! Purchase using the link in my bio.

This collection of poems and color illustrations is dedicated the heroes in our comic books and our everyday lives. And it features a conversation I had with @vanlathan Jr where we discuss the world around us through the lens of superheroes. Get your copy today.

Special thanks to @prowokp for this beat!

Thank you to @quietleader for the cover art! As well as @aaronzparris, @1celer, @stephen.aviles, @thatdudej, and Kingsley Ezeh. And Janis Albuquerque, @chanelnumberpi, and Windy Goodloe for layout design and editing.

I’m a free agent!!! I mean I got laid off from my job at the Ringer/Spotify after 5 years with the company, but free agent sounds much more sexy lol. Here is a bunch of cool shit I did at my job in the past five years.

I am a writer, yapper, audio engineer, podcast producer, performance poet, hip-hop skit parody guy, bad singer, and podcast diss track maker available to work. I’ve even recreated early 2000s beer commercials with Steph Curry as well as the “Lazy Stupid and Unconcerned” Frank Ocean skit with my momma lmao. Hire me for all your freelance needs! My list of skills I can provide includes but isn’t limited to:

-audiobook production
-podcast recording and post production
-featured poet (can perform up to 45 minutes of memorized poems at a poetry show or event)
-music mixing and mastering
-music writing (hip-hop album reviews or think pieces)
-ghostwriting (I got bars I swear to god)
-personalized poems (will send you print copy, record, or perform them at an event for you)
-hip-hop skit creation or parody recreation
-voiceover work
-whatever DJ Drama be doing on people’s mixtapes

DM me or email me at jkermah98@gmail.com if you have any interest in booking me for any of these things. I just wanna do cool and fun shit, so depending on the ask, I’m willing to work with you on price! Especially if you are the homie.

RAPPERS PLEASE LET ME HOST YOUR MIXTAPES
I just wanna scream outlandish shit on someone’s album like “FUCK YOU SWAMP ASSHOLE NIGGAS KNOW BOUT A BIDET NIGGA!!! WE SQUEKY CLEAN OVER ON DIS SIDE!!! AINT NOBODY FUCKING WIT US”

So if you ever thought to yourself “damn that guy Kerm is so funny, talented, smart, and sexy” now is your chance to work with me. And if you heard I got laid off and was like “lemme know how I can help you” Zelle a nigga some money or book me to do some fun shit lmao. by @jonathankermah

ITS MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!!! Swipe right to see me age in reverse as I process another year getting older.

This Thursday I’ll be hosting an open mic and celebrating my birthday with @thelivingroomdtla! $10 at the door. Pull up and buy me a drink. I’ll bring the cake. Keep in mind it’s a small space (20-25 people can fit in there) so get there on time at 8:30 to guarantee a seat and spot on the mic!!! I wanna hear from my favorite poets and friends 😊

Let the record show, my birthday is actually tomorrow. So I’ll be at DPL too! Might hit the barcade Eighty-Two afterwards 🤷🏾‍♂️

If you’re like, “damn KERM, I didn’t get you a gift. What do you want for your birthday???” I want you to BUY MY BOOK or give me a hug when you see me and sing YEARNING!!! Either option works lmao. I got about 20 or so physical copies left from my first printing, so DM me to buy direct from me or ask in person. Or buy that shit on Amazon if you like corporations idk 🤷🏾‍♂️

“Spider-Man Doesn’t Drink” by Jonathan Kermah

Sound design and video edit also by me. The poem is also available on my substack!

Wrote this poem last year when I found out about the mandate that Spider-Man isn’t allowed to be depicted drinking alcohol in comics, shows and movies, and then proceeded to ask, “but what if he did?”
