My new exhibition, What’s Worth Saving, will be on display until September 16th @space538 in Portland, Maine!

This project was a continuation of work started last year at the @rockyneck_artcolony where I was the artist in residence at the Ocean Alliance, one of the world’s leading ocean conservation organizations.

I was privileged to work with some incredible collaborators on this project:
The intrepid @oceanalliance whose work was the catalyst for the entire project, and who have generously loaned me all of the objects displayed in this installation.
@accpercussion who composed the haunting soundscape that fills the gallery space.
@wallnetto for masterfully filming and editing the video component of the project.

I’m really proud of this one. If you happen to be in the Portland area over the next month I hope you get a chance to see it! There will also be a lecture and concert series on Sunday, September 10th at the gallery (details TBD.)

“In here, the third iteration is actually closest to my original vision for the piece. Which is this kind of pure, unbroken space that you’re in… In here, is the purest form of getting this at it’s true volume and it truly is overwhelming and really is encompassing you. This is the most intense it’s ever been, and I think it’s because of these unbroken lines that we have in this space.”

Come spend some time engaged in a miniature world and visit “Scaling a Pyramid” today, 12-5 pm

Don’t forget to RSVP on our website for the closing reception August 22nd 4-8 pm to hear Jonathan talk about his work and have the opportunity to win one of three selected prints from “Scaling a Pyramid” by @jonathanlatiano
