Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. I had the honor of hosting my sponsor’s 20th anniversary yesterday—what an incredible milestone. Congratulations, @thesteveholzer Your strength and commitment continue to inspire me every day.

There’s nothing like being surrounded by my sobriety family—so much love, support, and shared purpose in one room. And a special thank you to @itsjonldn and @otero_inc for helping bring it all together so seamlessly. taken in Beverly Hills, California by @jonathanldn_

I’ve been recovering from some surgeries & been housebound feeling low and reclusive, and this guy surprised me for my bday for my first outing I’ve been able to do in over a month. This is the first time I’ve smiled and felt joy like this in a while. He knows my love for aviation and what an incredible experience & a beautiful gift. Seeing the entire City from up above in a new light really made me realize how grateful I am to be alive, experiencing the magic of being present and feeling loved. I’m so thankful for you @jasoncamera you’ve been everything for me ❤️ by @jonathanldn_

Part of me feels a sense of shame for sharing anything celebratory when there is so much devastation we’ve seen and experienced this week in the City. So this is more of an acknowledgement of a milestone - not just for myself but for others struggling with addiction to show that another way is possible. A milestone that was at many times, challenging to achieve. I’m grateful for the gifts that 5 years of sobriety has given me, none of which are materialistic but are based around love, support and hope. Mostly love for myself which has been a long road. If any of you are struggling especially right now with heightened anxiety from this week and you want something different for yourself, I’m always available for an anon chat. Be kind to yourselves, sending love and hope ❤️ by @jonathanldn_
