Excerpt from my journal after our first date, November 13 2006:

“then I blurted out, ‘I want to marry you.’ She laughed. I’m glad I said it.”

Risky for a first date, but if you know @rachael.starrett you get it.

She is all my favorite parts of life. She strengthens my faith, helps me to be a better parent, leader, and man, inspires my creativity, and after all these years wants nothing more than to just hang out.
