Re-edited some old favorites to reflect my current style. These last few years I've been genuinely trying to chase that timeless tone. My goal has always been to edit my photographs with a 70/30 ratio of timeless to trendy. I've been doing this long enough to see trends come and go.

For the first time in what feels like ages, I had a completely free, open, and lazy day. It started off wonderfully relaxing, a much-needed break from the usual hustle. But soon, my OCD kicked in, and I found myself doom-scrolling through the often toxic world of social media. Overwhelmed by the immense talent on display, I started to feel inadequate and began spiraling into self-doubt.

Then, in the midst of my scrolling, I stumbled upon my own photos. As I looked through them, I reminded myself that I am actually somewhat decent at this whole photography thing—something I've dedicated my adult life to pursuing and perfecting. It was a comforting and affirming moment.

Now smash that like button and give me the serotonin and dopamine boost I deserve. Comments are much appreciated too. Even better if you give me money to shoot your next event.

What an unreal way to end the night! Here's a frame from George & Tina's wedding last weekend. So glad we were able to catch the Disneyland fireworks from the roof of the hotel. Truly a spectacular finish!

Did a shoot for @doublesoul , a sock company that I guess is owned by Pete Davidson (I had no idea when I took the gig), and my friend @bekah . They sent over a mood board with some inspiration, and I immediately noticed a few vintage J.Crew catalogs in there.

My film-nerd brain picked up on the cool, soft tones of Fuji Pro 400H, a discontinued film stock that I've always loved. That happened to be exactly the nostalgic, cooler feeling Double Soul was after. Luckily, I still had a roll of 400H sitting in my fridge, so I shot it as a reference and used it to build the same feeling into the digital files.

It's a little different from my usual work, but I'm incredibly proud of how closely I was able to translate the client's vision into something that still feels like me.

Enjoy these images of Bekah's family frolicking around their yard and living room. This was a joy to shoot.

And a big thank you to my friend @dnguyenphotography for helping me light the indoor portions.

Taylor & Joseph had a beautiful, intimate backyard wedding at their grandparents’ home in Covina, transforming the yard into a stunning little wedding venue seemingly overnight. Guests were encouraged to dress up, show up, and be unapologetically themselves, and they absolutely delivered.

The ceremony took place at a beautiful Los Angeles park overlooking downtown, where we also made time for a few portraits at a park bench that held some significance to their relationship. From there, it was back to the backyard for drinks, hand-pressed tortillas, incredible tacos, and one of my personal favorites of the evening: a clarified milk punch.

I genuinely loved wandering around with my camera and photographing everyone in their ridiculously good outfits. Everyone was in such high spirits, completely comfortable being themselves, and it made photographing the evening feel effortless. Just a really good group of people, a beautiful night, and the kind of wedding that felt entirely like Taylor and Joseph.

Today I've been reflecting back on Stacy & Ryan's engagement session. This was such an enjoyable session because of the level of collaboration I had with this couple. Together, we developed a narrative direction based on their personalities and interests.

I really encourage all of my couples to approach their engagement sessions this way. When we build something together that feels uniquely theirs, the resulting photographs become so much more meaningful.

Some of my favorite frames from Safe & Merola’s engagement session at The Last Bookstore in downtown LA.

Merola used to work here and she’s a bit of a bibliophile, so it was important for them to incorporate that into their session. Luckily, the staff opened the bookstore a few hours before opening so we could sneak in and snap some pictures.

It was an honor to bring this romantic, cinematic look to life for them. Also, it is WILDLY dark in there. My ISO was sitting at 6400 pretty often haha. #fujigfx #losangelesweddingphotographer #orangecountyweddingphotographer taken in The Last Bookstore by @jonathanyacoub

Simon reached out months ago about photographing his proposal to Yvette, and I was honored he'd trust me to capture such a huge milestone.

We decided on this gorgeous lookout in Crystal Cove, and his family decorated a lovely little space.

Probably 15 minutes before the big moment, another photographer walked up to me and asked, "Are you shooting a proposal here?"

I told her yes, and her face winced. Turns out she was also photographing a proposal in the exact same spot... just a few minutes before ours.

Thankfully we were both totally cordial about it. Her couple actually used our decorated space first, and then I had the awkward job of politely kicking a freshly engaged couple out so Simon and Yvette could have their proposal. LOL.

It was a hectic few minutes behind the scenes, but I'm so glad everybody was able to share their special moment there uninterrupted. #orangecountyweddingphotographer

I recently had the opportunity to tag along with my good friend @dnguyenphotography on an editorial shoot for @timidmag featuring the incredibly talented @lijunli for her role in Spider-Noir.

The night before the shoot, I sat down and watched the first episode for a bit of inspiration. As we began developing ideas, we found ourselves drawn to the classic Femme Fatale archetype. Mysterious, alluring, confident, and impossible to ignore. It became the perfect creative direction for the portraits we wanted to make. Enjoy this mix of digital and film. #madewithkodak #portra160

The crowning has always been one of my favorite moments in a Coptic Orthodox wedding.

As the crowns are placed upon the bride and groom, the Church symbolically crowns them as the king and queen of their new household, called to build a home rooted in faith, love, and sacrifice.

Having stood beneath those crowns myself, this part of the sacrament carries even more meaning.

For a few quiet moments, the noise of the wedding day fades away. The priest prays over the couple, the world seems to disappear, and what remains are some of the most genuine, unguarded emotions of the entire day.

Every time I photograph a crowning, I'm reminded why I love Coptic weddings so much. They are rich with symbolism, tradition, and moments that feel timeless.

Just realized I never uploaded the digital images from Prestin and Austin’s vintage inspired 1960s photoshoot. As much as I love shooting film, I still really appreciate the convenience and immediacy of digital. Especially when it comes to low light and shooting at night.

I think that’s why I’ve never fully understood the need to pit film and digital against each other. Film feels romantic, imperfect, alive. Digital feels immediate, responsive, dependable. They give me completely different experiences as a photographer, but the intention behind the images is still the same.

One medium slows me down and makes me feel. The other lets me react instantly and chase moments without thinking twice.

Curious which set you prefer. Analog or digital?
For me, the answer is easy. I genuinely love both haha.

Some of my favorite moments from James and Alex’s wedding. It was my first time shooting at the 1909 and I genuinely enjoyed photographing this intimate venue.

When I arrived, I asked Alex where James was and she quietly responded, “He isn’t here right now..."

So naturally, my brain immediately jumped to “the groom got cold feet.” I spent the next 20 minutes photographing details while internally preparing for the most uncomfortable wedding of my career.

Turns out he was just picking up the cake LOL.
