The @embjpnz is having an exhibition of works by Hokusai at @toi.aro for the next two weeks, and they held a competition for 20 photos by local photographers to hang along side. This one I shot at the @chichibu_whisky_matsuri festival while filming @distilledtoperfection was selected so we are heading over today to check out the show! taken in Chichibu, Saitama by @jonfkroll

This epic shark saga that I directed for @natgeotv is on @disneyplus right now! Except in NZ, where it will air on Sky later this year. Shooting this show in the open water of the South Pacific was the adventure of a lifetime and hopefully that comes through in the finished show. by @jonfkroll

While the Vanuatu island of Tanna is probably best known for being home to one of the most active volcanos in the world, it’s also where the Oscar-nominated film “Tanna” was shot. It was filmed by two Australians (Bentley Dean and Martin Butler) in a remote traditional village and all of the roles of this “Romeo and Juliet” saga were all played by the local villagers. We paid the village a visit and even though the film was made more than ten years ago, many of the “stars” still live there. This guy, Lingai Kowia, played the father of local troublemaker Selin. taken in Tanna Island Vanuatu by @jonfkroll

Mount Yasur has been erupting continuously for at least 252 years… or longer than the U.S.A. Has been a country. And if you’re dumb enough to sign the release, you can look right into the eye of the storm.
