It’s after midnight here in North Carolina, and I couldn’t end the night without sharing this moment.

The 60 Year Detour was just honored with the top award for Best Overall Film at the Tryon International Film Festival.

Receiving an honor like this is truly humbling. A director is only as good as the team beside them, and I was blessed with the absolute best. Huge congratulations to our entire cast and crew—and a massive thank you to everyone who believed in this story and supported us along the way. I’m deeply, deeply grateful!

After an incredible journey, I’m thrilled to share that our new film, The 60 Year Detour, is officially complete!

This project has been a labor of love brought to life by a remarkably talented global team of filmmakers from Italy, New Zealand, Los Angeles, New York, and right here in Atlanta,

The story follows a man (played by Atlanta actor Jon Hayden) looking back on a lifetime of detours, realization, and growth—discovering that every wrong turn, mistake, and burned bridge was simply part of the path that led him home.

Immensely grateful to every cast and crew member around the world who helped bring this vision to the screen. The film will premiere on Saturday October 10 at noon at the Tryon International Film Festival in Tryon, North Carolina. by @jonhaydenactor

Hello everybody, I am off to Los Angeles tomorrow to film the LA sequence of this short film that I am playing the lead on it was written and directed by Ken Feinberg my good friend and Pal who directed love and taxes three years ago. He wrote this specific screenplay for me and I can only hope to deliver the gold mine that he wrote and crafted. I’ll be filming in Hollywood,Santa Monica pier and the Hollywood sign as well as the LA river sequences where I’m lost and trying to find my way, give me a shout. Let me know. Maybe we can get together Friday evening Sunday brunch love to see everybody.

For the past several days since I heard the news, I kept saying to myself ,this is a really amazing actor! I ran into him while coming out of the number one subway train at 86th and Broadway must’ve been in 92 or 93. I told Mr. Duvall. he corrected me and said call me Bobby, which he said to everybody. I told him that I had seen him on Broadway in 1977 in American Buffalo. I was visiting a friend in New Haven at Yale and after long weekend of singing as a guest with The Wiffingpoofs, I took metro north down to Manhattan, went to TKTS and bought a $40 ticket to see the Sunday 2 PM matinee. I never even really looked at the ticket. I went to the theater and the ushers directed me down the aisle in the Orchestra. I kept walking and walking, and the usher pointed to the fourth seat in the front row! For the next two hours, I forgot where I was. I was in the world of David Mamet , Bobby Duvall, John Savage and Kenneth McMillan. It was a tour de force that I never forgot and on that day on that street corner in Manhattan. I told him that he had inspired me to never quit. I asked him if he was working on a project and he said yes, one of my favorites it’s called “Lonesome Dove”. I hope you’ll take a moment and watch it. I not only rooted for you and watched you through your career, but followed you from the front row…RIP, Sir!🎬🥲🕺🏼🎥❤️ by @jonhaydenactor

We have received photographs from the Show Low Film Festival in Show Low Arizona. Our film, “Love and Taxe$” has emerged victorious, winning the Best Comedy Feature award once more. Ken and I thoroughly enjoyed our excursion to the White Mountains of Arizona, situated three hours away from downtown Phoenix. This achievement marks our third consecutive festival win in three weeks, with six Best Comedy Feature awards secured in nine festivals! Am I recognizing a pattern here?🎬🎥😎🕺💥 by @jonhaydenactor

“Love and Taxe$ is totally unique. It’s so difficult to find a new way to make a romantic comedy, but Ken Feinberg has done it.” - Rob Reiner

Filmed in one take, “Love and Taxe$” offers a unique twist on the romantic comedy genre. Set in the early 1970s, amidst shifting societal norms and the rise of the sexual revolution, the film explores the intertwined professional and personal lives of Donald, an ambitious CPA, and Belinda, a free-spirited waitress. Despite their annual dance around mutual attraction during tax season, navigating marriages, affairs, business ventures, and personal desires, their story delves into themes of trust, betrayal, societal expectations, and personal aspirations. This narrative is a blend of bittersweet storytelling infused with irony and wit.

Crafted by Lloyd J. Schwartz, the renowned writer/producer of “The Brady Bunch,” and starring Alexis Abrams (multiple Best Actress awards for this role) and Jake Reiner (Carl Reiner’s grandson and acting award winner for this role) in his leading debut. opening title music by Laurence Juber, guitarist from Paul McCartney and wings.

Leading actress Alexis Abrams, writer Lloyd Schwartz and director Ken Feinberg will be in attendance. @alexisaabrams @jakereiner @directortiz @creativestudiosofatlanta @camerawoman_apc @cobbinternationalfilmfestival @bradybunch by @jonhaydenactor
