It’s after midnight here in North Carolina, and I couldn’t end the night without sharing this moment.

The 60 Year Detour was just honored with the top award for Best Overall Film at the Tryon International Film Festival.

Receiving an honor like this is truly humbling. A director is only as good as the team beside them, and I was blessed with the absolute best. Huge congratulations to our entire cast and crew—and a massive thank you to everyone who believed in this story and supported us along the way. I’m deeply, deeply grateful!

After an incredible journey, I’m thrilled to share that our new film, The 60 Year Detour, is officially complete!

This project has been a labor of love brought to life by a remarkably talented global team of filmmakers from Italy, New Zealand, Los Angeles, New York, and right here in Atlanta,

The story follows a man (played by Atlanta actor Jon Hayden) looking back on a lifetime of detours, realization, and growth—discovering that every wrong turn, mistake, and burned bridge was simply part of the path that led him home.

Immensely grateful to every cast and crew member around the world who helped bring this vision to the screen. The film will premiere on Saturday October 10 at noon at the Tryon International Film Festival in Tryon, North Carolina.

“Love and Taxe$ is totally unique. It’s so difficult to find a new way to make a romantic comedy, but Ken Feinberg has done it.” - Rob Reiner

Filmed in one take, “Love and Taxe$” offers a unique twist on the romantic comedy genre. Set in the early 1970s, amidst shifting societal norms and the rise of the sexual revolution, the film explores the intertwined professional and personal lives of Donald, an ambitious CPA, and Belinda, a free-spirited waitress. Despite their annual dance around mutual attraction during tax season, navigating marriages, affairs, business ventures, and personal desires, their story delves into themes of trust, betrayal, societal expectations, and personal aspirations. This narrative is a blend of bittersweet storytelling infused with irony and wit.

Crafted by Lloyd J. Schwartz, the renowned writer/producer of “The Brady Bunch,” and starring Alexis Abrams (multiple Best Actress awards for this role) and Jake Reiner (Carl Reiner’s grandson and acting award winner for this role) in his leading debut. opening title music by Laurence Juber, guitarist from Paul McCartney and wings.

Leading actress Alexis Abrams, writer Lloyd Schwartz and director Ken Feinberg will be in attendance. @alexisaabrams @jakereiner @directortiz @creativestudiosofatlanta @camerawoman_apc @cobbinternationalfilmfestival @bradybunch

What an unforgettable day at the Atlanta Comedy Film Festival! We premiered “Sweet Body” at the Limelight Theater, connected with inspiring filmmakers, and watched incredible short films that fueled my passion to keep creating. Hannah Pniewski and I won BEST DIRECTOR for SWEET BODY—an honor that left us both thrilled and grateful to be recognized among such talent.

Thank you to my awesome husband Scott for always supporting my creative endeavors, my best friend Loralee for flying in from Montana. Morgan, Jim, and Rowan for driving from South Carolina, and our talented set decorator Karie Vieira for showing up today where her amazing work was on display on screen.

Thanks to my comedian friends Leah, Lauren, and Tyler for showing up and supporting!

Big thanks to Caroline King, Phaedra, and Aaron for your warm hospitality. The Atlanta Comedy Film Festival was so well organized and executed!

Thanks to all of our Sweet Body Supporters who brought this film to life.

And finally, thank you, Atlanta Comedy Film Festival, for a day I’ll never forget!
