From 5K, to 1 marathon, to 2nd marathon the @thesfmarathon was a fun adventure. I learn something new every single race. This race I learn it's okay to slow it down and remember not every mile isn't a sprint and my mile isn't the same mile as others. As long as I always move forward the finish line will be there. Anyway on to the next.

The first photo is basically how I felt the whole race from mile 3 on. .... Here's my pro & con list for OC marathon

Cons:
No good official photos from this race.
Race was boring, long stretches of houses

Pros:
Great weather
Congrats to all the PRs
Kayla and I got our cancer crabs (Beach cities challenge complete)
Finished it while injured taken in OC Fair & Event Center by @jonmak13

Who had me place in a race on their 2026 bingo card?

Not me.

Being sick, I went into this race just trying to hit 50 miles. Took some dayquil right at the start and went back and forth for 5th place at some points in the beginning. As the race continued I battled on to 3rd, then 2nd. At the end I got 57.5 miles in 11:41. Good for 2nd place. It was great to see @juliesk8s hit her 50 and @spartan_chef paced me for some good miles and smiles

Those last 6 miles made me work for it more than I have at any race. Time to go back to the drawing board to go longer or faster.

Capping off the year with the Honolulu marathon.

I felt amazing this marathon and missed PR by 6 mins. Still felt amazing. Will post a recap soon of the actual marathon.

Since the marathon photos only gave me 3 and they only post anything with the bib showing I think my good photos are lost in the wind. taken in Waikiki Beach - Honolulu - Hawaii by @jonmak13
