Grateful for the opportunity to be one of the @bandit coaches in LA for the 12-week summer series after years of pacing in NYC.
The staff, coaches, pacers (slide 2), and runners made the move to a new city and a new running culture so easy.
See you soon @run

whoa, it was hot and humid! 🥵 Going off of pure feel was out the window, held tight and did a negative split strategy 📝

My A goal was sub 21:00 but today, I got my 2nd best with an official chip time: 21:40. Thankful! I did my best today and that’s satisfying enough 🫶

This time last week, I was starting my 12-hour endurance race with one goal: run 50 miles. After 11:47:46 of nonstop running, I did just that. I was also incredibly honored to take 2nd place and stand on the podium alongside some amazing women.

Reflecting on this past week, I’m reminded just how lucky I am to have such incredible support behind me.

After my back surgery in 2022, my coach @the.jake.walters helped build me back from the ground up, starting with the basics, strengthening my body, and helping me get my mind right when doubt crept in before this race. I’ve accomplished more in the past few years with Jake as my coach than I ever did on my own, and I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and deeply grateful for his guidance. 💪🏼

And to my amazing husband @spartan_chef who ran the final two laps with me to keep me on pace, then quite literally lifted me on and off the podium when my legs refused to cooperate after all those miles…I couldn’t have done it without you.

Sometimes it takes a village, a lot of snacks and sacrificing some toenails but it’s all worth it! 🥈

Crazy journey. 4 months of prep. No prior running experience. Injuries left and right. Yet still determined to cross the finish line. I learned so much from this, the do’s the don’ts. The early morning runs and late nights at the gym. Did not obtain the result I wanted due to some cramping, but I’m happy to have gone through this. I am grateful for the people that have supported me through all of this as well as the people that I ran with. It’s truly a wonderful experience. Congrats to all those who ran in the heat.

Still we persevere… onto the next one. ☝🏽

My first trail marathon is officially in the books, and I couldn’t be happier with how this race went. Technical trails, relentless hills, constant elevation gains and losses and an intense headwind for the entire back half, made this one a true challenge. But I stayed strong (thank God for Sour Patch Kids at every aid station 😂), finished feeling good, and I’m really proud of my overall time and pace.

I also couldn’t be more proud of my incredible husband @spartan_chef who shows me the true meaning of strength, determination, and humility every single day. Brent and our friend Jon @jonmak13 took on the 50-mile course and absolutely crushed it. Watching you both come through the finish line was such an honor.

Brent, you are my biggest inspiration, and I’m constantly in awe of all that you do. You are incredible, babe. I can’t wait for our next one!

First time ever I could tag everyone who was there honestly was one of the best last minute decisions well worth the 6 hour drive back while I slept in the back 🤣🤷🏽🤣🫶🏽
